Re: opinoins on the core 100 mgfv
Let me just add that I went to a tackle shop yesterday and the guy convinced as to why I should never get a Chronarch D7 and why the Core (and Chronarch 50Mg) is the best lol. He uses only Cores and 1 Ch50Mg and 1 CUE7 for tournament fishing. He did a few demonstrations and I now see why the reels i...

Re: opinoins on the core 100 mgfv
Get it! I just got one a couple weeks ago and it's going to be paired with my LTB Flippin' rod and used for flippin' and pitchin'! I started a thread about it and was told to use it for plastics and not to "waste" it on flippin' which made sense to me BUT I think it'll be perfect for that! I've take...

That's exactly what I've been thinking plus it's unbelievably smooth. Perfect for throwing spinnerbaits!steve1206 wrote:I really only want to use mine for moving baits because of its weight

Steez Megatop Casting Rod Review
http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwastzmegacast.html Let me just say that I was thoroughly impressed by this review! This was definitely one of the best and most interesting ones I've read on this site. I haven't been very interested in "Finesse" gear so I've completely ignored the reviews and prod...

Re: Rod to pair with a Calais 4x8 DC
The NRX 893 is my dream rod and it's with what I'd pair mine. Mine gets thrown around on different rods but the majority of this season it stayed on my LTB "Carolina Rig" rod (7'3" MHF) and was used to throw spinnerbaits and plastics the majority of the time. I hope to use it again next year but for...

Re: What reel would you reccomend
Well the reels you mentioned I have a few I have a Calcutta 100dc, Calcutta te200gt, core 50mg7, citica e, and I am contemplating buying a metanium mg7 tomorrow. Will any of these be good? I already have rods for these reels except for the metanium. Maybe I'll put that on it what do you think. Sal ...

Re: Ultimate Spinnerbait Reel
The Calais 100/200 is the smoothest retrieve SB reel I've ever used. I second that! I have the Calais 200A and the retrieve is exceptionally smooth! I use a bunch of different reels based on what I have with me BUT I love using the Calcutta TE200DC and Calais 200DC for all ranges up to 1oz. Also, f...

Re: The Sleeping Giant
I've wanted this reel since it's release! Nobody around me carries it unfortunately so when/if I decide to get it, it'll be ordered online!
Anyway, when I was looking at it again last night on the abu website, the 40 size is no longer listed???

Re: New reel decisions. Chron.E50, EXO, Ballistic, or MGX???
I just got a Core 100MgFV and it easy to palm. Very light. I haven't taken it out yet but I've always wanted one and got it because of the positive reviews and feedback on the forum.
I really like the look of the MGX and the reviews have been great so far!

Re: Flippin' Reel
Thank you so much for the replies! I never thought of using it for pitching. I think I will leave the E7 on the flippin' rod and use the Core 100MgFV for pitchin' plastics specifically senkos.
Thanks a lot guys.
P.S. the tackle shop was out of castaic's or I would've picked one up!
