Re: GLX 893 vs NRX on balance
I am very picky with how my rods balance and I find all the NRX rods I own to be tip heavy (which is something I never found with the old full rear handled GLX BCR line-up G Loomis used to make. I still hate they went to split grip). With that being said, I add weight to the end of the butt on my NR...

Re: NRX Crankbait Rod
For future reference this is why you just do a custom to begin with. Then you could take those recoils off your cranking stick too and put on tSiC. For future reference the NFC 705 HM is very similar to the NRX, own them both, but it's a little less powerful and slightly slower. Also a trimmed down...

Re: NRX Crankbait Rod
I am glad to hear I am not the only one with this sickness. Here is what I did, I bought a NRX 843 MBR amd am having a professional rodmaker take off the whole handle and reel seat, cut three inches off the butt, then put on a new reel seat (three inches up from it's original position) and rear han...

Re: NRX Inshore Rod Question.
I just received the NRX 923 MR and this thing action and power wise is exactly what I am looking for (now you just need a bass version). The rear handle isn't all that bad (I had fears it would get in the way, but it doesn't appear that it will). However, the foregrip is long. I am going to have a p...

Re: NRX vs Steez vs Megabass
I love the search feature! \:D/ I was mulling these exact three lineups over for this most recent purchase I made through my "dealer" (might as well be drugs as much money as he takes form me) He said the same thing as you guys did, the NRX is just at another level when talking sensitivity......

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
I just received a call from The Hook Up Tackle. They received my trade-in rods this morning, had my credit calculated (which was exactly what I though it would be), and my new NRX is on its way. Seamless!

Re: G. Loomis guys....Where you at?!?!
Here is what I use. Jerkbaits - Currently a Custom Modified GLX CBR 855, but a Custom Modified NRX 843 MBR is on the way Spinnerbaits - Currently a GLX MBR 783, but a Custom Modified NRX 843 MBR is in planning Topwater - Same as Spinnerbaits (this rod does double duty as I rarely fish topwater) Pitc...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
Do they take custom rods? or rods missing a guide ring? Custom rods, No. Rods with broken guides, I would say no. Here is the language they posted concerning what you can trade-in: Trade-in rods must be one of the following brands: 13 Fishing Daiwa Dobyns Duckett G.Loomis Kistler Megabass Phenix Po...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
Any forms we suppose to fill for this trade-in program? There is a Trade-in form they want you to fill out (there's a link to it on thier web-site). You fill in your info and list the rod(s) you have packed in the rod tube. Make sure to write something like "Trade-In Towards NRX Program" at the top...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
These guys are straight shooter. Unless you have an odd ball, the value are quite accurate. In addition, narrowing manufacture to their approved list further reduced the chance of an odd ball received. As Hobobob said, they are good and in my experience, they'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I...

No. Last trade-in, I sent in enough rods for three "free" NRX. However, they didn't have that specific manufacturers list last time either.TeamDaiwaRick wrote:Is there a limit on how many rods each person can trade in? If I trade in enough rods I can get a NRX for free?

Re: How many NRX do you own?
Well I just got my 852s in the mail today...and I may have a new favorite rod!! This taper, with the sturdy backbone and fast sensitive tip is just a masterpiece. You can truly handle almost any spinning application with this one rod, I hope to dropshot with it too, as I never fish spinning rods it...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
I have 2 843 NRX, one in blue, one green. There is no difference in my hands between the two. Feel like the same weight, balance, etc. I haven't put them on a scale yet but am planning to weigh them soon. If there is any difference, it is very very small. The only double of the NRX line that I have...
