Re: revo stx vs shimano 200e7 vs pflueger patriarch

I've used the Patriarch XT and Curado. The Patriarch is a better reel. It felt smoother and was better built. There was zero backplay in the handle whereas the Curado had a bit of play. The Patriarch is also a better caster for me. I ended up selling the Curado and using the Patriarch as my all-arou...

Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size

I like using lighter wire straight shank hooks like the Roboworm Rebarb. EWGs tend to weigh finesse worms down and kill the action.

Bassmaster Classic on ESPN2

ESPN2 is supposed to be showing Day 3 of the Bassmaster Classic right now but instead, I'm watching nitro burning funny cars on SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY. It's bad enough that they buried coverage of Days 1 and 2 in the wee hours of the night at 3am.

Re: Izorline

I just suggested Izorline to the guy asking about line for finesse fishing. I've used XXX on my spinning reel for dropshotting and I like it. Going to try Platinum on the baitcaster this year as soon as it warms up.

Re: Okuma Serrano

I had one of these. Did a review of it but it's now gone because of the server crash. I used it primarily for plastics. It's a good caster and palms very comfortably. The only thing I didn't like about it was the smallish handle grips.

Re: Which Line Do You Prefer for Lite Plastics?

I've been using 6 lb. Izorline XXX for spinning. I just got some Izorline Platinum, which is supposed to be stiffer, to use on my baitcaster this year.

Re: TT Forums are back

Darn, I'm back at post #1.

Thanks for getting the forum back up. What are the chances that both main server and backup fail?
