Re: What’s your spinning setup to have ready?
I have way too many now and already wish I could just go back to just a couple! If I’m fishing the Great Lakes or St. Clair for smallmouth, I’ll bring 3-4 spinning setups. If I’m fishing ponds or other lakes for largemouth I’ll bring 1 spinning setup. Here are the ones I actually fish: Tube/swimbait...

Re: Casting shooting head fly line with baitcaster
That would be a neat experiment. I’ve wondered that before - would I be able to load a baitcaster with backing and then shooting line and head and actually be able to fish it? Cast it? Custom single hand or two-hand blank spiral wrapped to accommodate the reel and casting technique? Leave short shoo...

Re: Simple
Beautiful setup!
I had the 7’11” and then traded a buddy for the 6’10” MH.
Love that series of rods!

Re: Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai Fluorocarbon
Great line for me with no issues as of yet.
I’ve got the 7lb. (Regular) and 10lb. (Hidden concept) on spinning setups, and 18lb. and 22lb. (Hidden concept) on casting setups.
Easy to manage. Great casting.

Re: New Legend Tournament
I don’t know if anybody else has noticed or if this is a single issue misprint but the new Legend Tournament spinning “Power Versatile” has “versatile” spelled as “versitile” on the handle…
Maybe it’s a misprint and worth more? Should I add to my collection?

Re: Shimano Curado 7’6” Light Spinning Rod
Could you describe the action and compare it to another rod. I was comparing it to what I imagined a light would be. Definitely a lot stiffer than I thought. I grabbed the 7’0”ML next to it and you can feel the difference in the tip and with the added length of course. I have a 7’6” ML legend elite...

Re: Shimano Curado 7’6” Light Spinning Rod
Thanks for the feedback!
I had a chance to play with it again in the shop. I like the idea of it for light hair jigs and small jig heads with plastics like the 2” ripple shad.

Shimano Curado 7’6” Light Spinning Rod
Does anybody have the rod Shimano Curado 7’6” Light Spinning Rod and have feedback to share? I keep looking at it whenever I go into the local shop but I’m not sure what I would need it for other than thinking about it as a spring crappie/bluegill rod. What do you use it for? Line - braid or mono or...

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF
Any of your bottom contact river smallmouth presentations . Tubes, Neds , craws etc Great to know. Line choice preference? Braid or fluoro or mono? What lb test is the sweet spot? Thanks! Amount of lead (overall weight) given conditions (depth/current flow) should dictate. It’ll handle a wide range...

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF
Hi everyone. I’m looking at the St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF (specifically the 2-piece version). Any feedback on the rod? Great all-purpose rod? Excels in any particular technique? I would use it for smallmouth in rivers and lakes. Do you ever fish slip bobbers for walleye? I never have but I wou...
