Interested in hearing people's experiences with this. I recently ordered a main gear and pinion gear (conquest gears to go into Aldebaran) from digitaka but after installing notice there was a tick that is likely as a result of something to do with the main gear. Not sure there was anything limited about them...

Daiwa named similarly for their tdz spin reels.

Did the swap just now on my Aldebaran 31MGL. Changed to Conquest BFS HG gears.
As expected, right after the change, smooth.
Will report back in a few months to see if it holds up...
Keeping my expectations low haha.

The top of the spool does.
They've gone to a smaller diameter spool, i assume to get better start up.

Let's just say I didnt have the time or patience to keep replacing parts to find the culprit.

Yes, when I sold it.

I don't have a solution, but just to say I had a random tick in the newest Morethan as well.
Sometimes there's a tick in the retrieve, sometimes not.
Disengage/engage a few times, and it would either disappear/reappear.

Just checked, they’re in much deeper, the part that touches is around the 3rd eye from the reel. Curious why you asked? You think of that was the area that was touching it could have caused an issue? Yeah, just seeing if the breakages are random or 'systematic'. Depends how well the rods/reels are ...

First one was between the 2nd and 3rd eye and the other 3 were between the 3rd and 4th eye.

Does that location correspond with how the rods are stored/ etc.?

Similar to the sandpaper idea, a scourer for dishes... The stuff that isn't marked nom scratch

I thought the whine was cool when i first got the OG exsence DC, and probably fine around other gear enthusiasts. But at other times, ie most of the time, the whine is like normal whining... annoying.

Don't plan to get another dc with the whine.

Would rather take titanium frame alconite say on a steez xt vs stainless frame SiC for bass applications, esp on a spin rod
