I recently switched to braid to avoid losing so many of those expensive deeper cranks. I roll with 50lb for that reason. Plus at those depths, braid is virtually undetected.

This discussion is all they were going for. You have to give them credit. They have really came from nowhere to be a real contender. I would list them as a top five USDM company based on quality and performance.

I think the 103 would shine as a cranking reel. I actually want one quite badly to crank with due to the smoothness and power the reel demonstrates.

Yes. SV spool on an old school Zillion platform. Not much out that can compete with it.
