Now THAT is a bad a$$ rod! Beautiful.
Reminds me of the old bamboo poles I grew up catching bluegill with but modern and of course way more awesome

How do these palm, in relation to say the 200e series reels? I find those a bit wide for my hands.
Thanks!

Re: Bait Cast Worm & Jig Rod under $100
Agree on the Omen. With the sale I decided to test one out and was very pleasantly surprised with how good the rod is. I got the medium powered rod and it was a blast to fish. Very sensitive rod as I could easily feel tugs from the baby bass. Was swinging and missing on them thinking they were bigge...

If the weight is going to remain a set distance from the hook, perhaps a small swivel?

Agreed. Aside from weight, why are more and more manufacturers including them? I would gladly take on a few grams of weight than to have to swap out grips on a brand new reel.MondayMonkey wrote:Beautiful reel but gotta swap out those knobs ugh can't stand eva reel knobs

Re: It's a bass eat bass world
It is really amazing the things bass think they can eat. Who here has not caught a fish or two that was either smaller than the lure or about the same size? You just look at the fish and think "what were you thinking?" Haha exactly. Below is my example of just that. Little guy blew up on the bait, ...

Thanks for the info jeb! I was worried that even through normal freshwater only use the magnesium frame could corrode.

Daiwa Steez Casting Reel durability
Hi TackleTour, I have a question for all of the Steez owners. Aside from not fishing the reel in salt water, are there any additional maintenance requirements or precautions that need to be taken when using this reel? I don't want to end up with a pile of dust sitting in my hands haha Thanks in adva...

I too remember the Dudley incident... Anyways, Brent Ehler is a very good fisherman, and I have been impressed with both his ability and professionalism on multiple occasions. I would love to see Brent and KVD head to head.... If I recall correctly, Ehler did go "head to head" with KVD in t...

Nope. But if there was, would you really want it? It's like taking the red pill in the Matrix
