It looks great, and I know the drag is improved compared to the previous version.But does it jusitfy for $600? !!

That is a hog, all I can say.
I doubt if I can land it because I use light tackle. You must be prepared to land such a hog.

+1. I own a lot of nice reels, and it's hard to top the 200DC for overall performance. The only knocks on it are the weight and that the chrome finish is cold in the winter. But nothing does it all better, IMO.

You take care of your reel very well. I use Core50mg7 reels while wading in saltwater. I spray the reels with a fine water mist after use and keep the spool bearings oiled every trip which is 2-3 days. I also dry the reels inside and out each night. I tear down the reels every 6 months to clean them...
