Re: Are Bocas Worth The Price?
Would you recommend stripping down the Bocas and re-lubing them when they come in, if I get some?

Are Bocas Worth The Price?
I have been recently getting into upgrading and supertuning reels. I posted a topic recently regarding a Daiwa Fuego and was advised to acquire Boca bearings. Fair enough, I like the idea and recently priced some Boca Orange seals for the Fuego. I just about died.... By the time you factor in other ...

Re: DAIWA T3 AIR
Beautiful reel. I only have two things I don't like about it. One is the gold level-wind, you'd think with all the technology available they would make it to match the body accents. I know there are aftermarket pieces that can be used for that, at least in the world of Shimano, yet Daiwa still hasn'...

Re: Luck E Strike Stick
I have no problem either regarding Luck "E" Strike, but why'd Clunn go with them? Even in a puzzling world this is odd  Like almost every pro in every sport, I'd guess it was about the money. We may not like that answer, but it is a reality in todays world. He had a deal with Lucky Craft via B...

Re: Daiwa Fuego Casting Reel
Thanks for the replies guys. I had a deal to get one, but it looks like the seller was marketing a spinning reel and wasn't exactly clear on that aspect  But I still have another place to check. Thanks for all the helpful information. Does anybody have picture of what they've done cosmetically...

Re: Daiwa Fuego Casting Reel
Considering I'm new at this, would you recommend seals on or off for this project? Also, replace the level-wind bushings with what? Bearings? Sorry if I'm a little slow here

Re: Swim Jig & Jig Trailers?
I personally like single tail grubs or the back half of a swimbait threaded on the hook. Always works for me, and I feel no need to change. One trailer that does swim well, but one I don't throw on my swimming jigs, is the Netbait Paca Chunk.

Re: Color presentation
Pick what matches your local forage as close as possible. That gives the most confidence, to me at least, which is the biggest contribution to catching fish a color has. For me that's Bluegill colored spinnerbaits, and Okeechobee Craw colored jigs nine times out of ten.

Re: Daiwa Fuego Casting Reel
Cool! Thanks for the information. On a slightly different note, can the PX Type R 6.8:1 gear ratio fit in a Fuego? Anyways, thanks for the info so far! What shallow/finesse spools, if any, are available for the Fuego?

Re: Hollow Body Frogs
Spros are the best I've ever used, including the Koppers. I have not, however, got to try out the Jackall Iobee. I really like the looks of that frog!
