Re: Speaking of Pixies
Question regarding pixy reels, are they same size/frame as alphas but just made out of magnesium instead of aluminium? Never had a pixy and thinking of picking used one to build it and since I have bunch of alphas spare parts wonder if parts are interchangable.

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
Looks to be same bearing as on 30mm spools which are little louder, comparing alphas air tw and momo CT spool, momo is little louder......I've replaced momo spool bearing with HH air bfs and it is noticably quiter that stock momo and alphas air tw.

True that, but from the cost perspective, alphas CT with momo spool would be little cheaper than alphas air tw, plus you get power finesse versatility with standard CT spool.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
Used my momo spool in alphas CT couple times, weight with bearing was 4.8grams, stated weight was 5.4 grams so it came little lighter...i was plesently suprissed with performance, casting 1 gram to 8 gram lures without any issues, very good distance too....I also have new alphas air tw and only adva...

They will probably put lighter rotor on the next ci4+ model just like they did with current model ci4+

Re: Slp g1 CT shallow spool in 2020
Anybody knows if you can you order Steez CT through SLPW semi order system?, I though they were going to do it but I don't see it being available anywhere and their website only has option for original steez sv tw semi-order.

Re: What BFS reel to get?
Got to use alphas air tw today for an hour, I'm impressed, reel feel's more solid compared to steez air tw, casting wise I feel it is more controlled than steez air and I don't see much or any difference in casting distance. Lightest lure I used IMG_20200530_075902_compress89.jpg was 3grams and was ...

Re: What BFS reel to get?
Drag star has a clicker but actual drag when fish is pulling does not click like Steez CT does

Re: What BFS reel to get?
Got a alphas air tw today, feels good in hand, goood amount narrower and lower sitting on rod that my alphas CT, will report later after few fishing sessions
Re: Luvias LT
Looking at some videos it appears to be heavilly greased with very sticky grease from factory which gives it more resistance. None of my other Daiwa reels had this much grease on gears.

Re: 19' Steez Ct vs 20' Steez CT
They should be the same, just different gear ratio. Few website I'm using have same price for all 3 models. My understanding is year (19' vs 20') reflects when reel is released, not manufactured. All are still being manufactured.
