I have a TD SOL L that i like to have a clicky drag star.
Is there other reels (TDX, TDS or TDZ) that can be parts swapped ?
Doesn't need to be a swept star or handle just like a clicking drag star.
Thanx

Re: Spool bearing stuck in metal sleeve
I have the same issue on a used TDZ US Trail i got from a friend.
What i did was slow pushing inward then outward just a bit just enough to slowly free it from its position.
I found that the old oil (or grease) caked around the bearing.

Re: TD Sol braking issues?
Have the same issues on 3 used TDZ/X platforms (TDZ, TDZ US Trail and TD-X).

Re: accessories for stripping/spooling line
I purchased Daichiseiko recycler 2.0. It really helps a lot if I spool new line and find that was not spooled as good as I hoped, or if it appears that backing is not correct amount or if I just want to change line for a spool and I don't want to trash line. In my opinion it's really worth of money...

Re: TDX tdz spool compatibility.
THank you again bro for the tons of info.
BY the way how was the performance of the TDZ with the TDX spool?
Mine will be a TDZ 103ML body with a TDX 105HL spool.
Needed a shallow spool for light diameter braids ( new braids are getting very thin )
for my bank fishing setup.

Re: TDX tdz spool compatibility.
thank you bro.
I was thinking of sanding the shims or DIY new ones from my old reel parts to have a workable medium so i can swap the spools on the fly when fishing.
Will the spool play too much for the TDZ spool if i remove one shim on the magnet side ?

Re: TDX tdz spool compatibility.
I’ve solved this issue on other Daiwa platforms (also 34mm spools) by removing the bearing from the side plate, then taking the washers out from under it, until you reach the shims located just above the screw holding the magnetic braking unit on. Take those shims out one at a time and test for fun...
