Re: New lures in your box 2021

They are no longer made, but if you can find them, the Lucky Craft Flash Minnow 95MR are my favorite shallow jerkbait for fishing over grass beds. Thank you again! I will definitely watch for these in the overstocked/used market. I realized last year that the 2-3' depth for jerkbaits is where I'm a...

Re: New lures in your box 2021

And although not new, it is new for me: Megabass Vision 95 Q-GO. I've found some success on the 95 fishing over grass beds. It only dives to about 2 feet on average so works well when you need a jerkbait that runs more shallow. I've been on the JDM hardbait train for about 15 years now, but this wi...

Punch baits

What are your favorite plastics for punching milfoil? I was looking at the netbait dagger and big bite baits BFE. I’ve done well with spicy beaver. What’s strange is I’ve never had any luck whatsoever on the D Bomb which is supposed to be one of the best punch / flip baits.

The OSP bent minnow is a killer for me never had anything trigger fish as it does.
Which size and how do you fish it? I have the middle and bigger sizes and fished it a bit last year with no luck. I was giving it quick twitches and rips and then letting it sit before starting again.

Re: Daiwa Airity LT Reel

What is the difference between the FC and LT models? In Japan, FC reels are “Finesse Custom” and are usually built on/around 1000/2000 series bodies. In this case, they offer the FC reels with different finesse (aluminum) handles shaft, and magseal at the line roller bearing removed to reduce weigh...

Re: Missile Baits Quiver

Yup... super fun bait to use though I haven't fished it since finishing the review last year. I read the review twice - once when it was initially published and again before purchasing  I like the idea of having one bait that can serve many purposes, especially fishing out of a kayak fairly of...

Missile Baits Quiver

Just bought a bunch of these in both sizes. The colors are really cool and I plan to fish the neko rig more often this year. I can see it being a really versatile bait for different rigs too. Anyone use them and if so what colors do you like for water with 3-6 foot of vis? I got the bluetonium, wate...

Re: Decoy Hooks

Was thinking about adding the dream worm 15 hook to my next order. I've been fishing more light wire hooks lately due to fishing a lot of 12lb fluoro.

Re: 19 Certate vs 21 (new) Exsence

Well, with cabin fever fully upon me and after a couple drinks, I lost my patience and pulled the trigger on the Certate 2500XH. What's more, I still feel like I'm due another purchase, possibly the Luvias Airity or Exsence when they are available. But now I can sit back knowing I'm fully set up goi...

Re: 19 Certate vs 21 (new) Exsence

I've seen the exsence pop up overseas for roughly $460 now, not too bad. Not in a rush to make a decision as we still have over a foot of snow on the ground and more on the way :(

Re: New lures in your box 2021

I got a bunch of the Megabass Uoze Swimmer Jigs that I'm excited to try out when my lakes gain sufficient grass again. I throw both underspins and swimjigs in those fisheries, this looks like a good crossover. (Just a bit worried about the durability of the attached blade, reportedly it bends and b...

Crawler baits

Just bought one of the Raid Dodge crawlers. Now I'm looking at the Imakatsu Aventa Crawler and Deps NZ Crawler Jr.

This will be my first season trying them, what crawlers have you guys had success with?
