Butyrate crankbait info
I’m wondering what current and discontinued cranks are/were made of butyrate? Awhile back I read somewhere that the old warts were made of butyrate and they stopped using it because it caused cancer, but after doing a search this evening I found there are at least a few cranks still using it - Norma...

Rapala’s terrible craw patterns
What’s up with their craw patterns? Does anyone like them? They look like they were designed by a cartoonist.

Any differences between vintage Rat-L-Traps and newer ones?
I had bought some older traps on eBay and did really well with them this fall. The only reason I bought older ones was because they were cheaper. I lost all of them and am looking to replace them. Are there any differences between the vintage ones and the newer ones? Same plastic, mold, weight, and ...

Re: Moving to Texas
I would pick Dallas because you’re close to a lot of really good lakes like Ray Roberts, Texoma, and Lake Fork. I lived in Denton and Denison growing up and so I visited both cities a lot. I haven’t been to either in a long time, but my impression is that Dallas would be a way better place to live i...

Paul Mueller’s instagram has been the most informative. He’s answered some of the comments I’ve left him, but most of his content is made while ice fishing and perch fishing.

Re: Panoptix PS22 - has anyone used Panoptix?
I’ve read reviews and watched every YouTube video and haven’t got the answers I am looking for. TW had 10% off but the transducer was on backorder which conflicted with the $200 rebate requirements. I was looking to get it for $700. Still considering getting one before the rebate is expired.

Re: Edge inshore 6'6" light
I think the rods Sierra Trading has are factory seconds and returns from Edge. Mine had an obvious guide replacement which had a smaller id ring. Lots of products on there are seconds, but at least they are marked 2nds... I have a finesse first strike casting rod I got from Temple Fork and the line ...

Panoptix PS22 - has anyone used Panoptix?
I’m very interested in buying this transducer because I want the front and down vu live sonar. Can anyone tell me anything about using it? I’m trying to figure out what it will help me find. Will it show me grass, rocks, fish on the bottom? And how clear is it when the target is closer to 100ft away...

Thanks, they do have the part. What should I expect ordering from Plat? Extra shipping charges and a long wait? Do they offer reduced shipping rates if I spend over a certain amount?zodiak311 wrote:Try PLAT, they have access to a lot of parts.

Where can I find yokes for old Daiwa?
So I’ve gone through a few of the reels I’ve purchased used through the winter and they all have worn out yokes. I’m looking for TD Zillion and TD-Z pinion yokes that are not worn down where the pinion sits and I cant find them anywhere. It looks like a piece that could be reproduced by someone with...

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103 HELP!!!
It sounds like the pinion is skimming the spool pin and not engaging. I have a tdz that does that because the pinion is worn out. Is the cast control tight enough?

Re: Edge inshore 6'6" light
I still haven't had a chance to take a look at my rods, but I noticed the edgerods.com website has updated their BASS rods page to state they are using LMX materials in their rods. I also noticed they dropped the prices for the Black Widow to $350 and First Strike to $225. One other thing to note r...

Re: Edge inshore 6'6" light
There is a 7'3" ML Mag Bass rod still in stock for $230. I almost wish I had looked before I bought the 6'6" rod. =P~ I have one of those Tim, great rod! I'm trying to hold off from getting another as the price on it keeps calling my name! I have had my eye on this one too, but the rod in the pictu...
