Re: IANized Reels
Beautiful! I would like to get the Livre handle for my Monoblock. Btw, did you have to change or adapt anything to get the RC002 spool to fit in the Monoblock?

Does anyone know why Daiwa only made the upgradable gear for lefties and not righties? Or why it only works for lefties?

Re: Threading Line Around Low Profile Spool
The tape is a good idea. I usually just use tweezers to grab the line from under the spool and pull it up.

Re: Three beauties ready for opening day
Beautiful....and you used my very same idea about the Steez limited and blue emblem!!! I have a BE on the way and have been contemplating about what reel to put it in. One thought was a custom painted TDZ, then I thought how cool it would look in the silver limited Steez with some matching blue part...

Re: Ip68
I haven't had a lot of time with my IP68, but have recently thrown hollow belly swimbaits and spinnerbaits with it on a Diablo Fastmove and it handled them great. Very smooth. I have also thrown topwater walking baits on a Destruction and it felt nice on that setup. Haven't tried anything finesse wi...

Re: Life is but a dream
I have never been able to find a mint J-Dream at a price that I wanted to pay. :crying: I almost bought a Megabass IP last year, but I was patient enough to wait for the new SV spool reels which give me less reason to buy the J-Dream or IP over the USDM Zillion that I own so many of. I think I'll k...

Long casting rods.....
I fish a lake where making longggggg casts over open water structure or, at times, to schooling fish is required. I know physics comes into play with the length of a rod, but staying in the 7'-7'6" range what are some of the longer casting rods on the market for single hook or treble hook lures in t...

Re: Megabass x4 usa models discontinued?
I stepped away from fishing tackle and this site around Feb. or March last year and when I got back into things last October I quickly realized the X4s had been discontinued. It's too bad, there are some really nice rods in that line.

Re: JDM rod questions
I'm sure there are some nice JDM candidates out there, but quite honestly for a dedicated jig rod I would probably just stick with a NRX. I do have a MB F5-76 Nautilus that is very sensitive and I like for jigs, as well as other things, but it is out of production now. What is your intended weight r...

Re: Rod Suggestion for ChMg100
One of my favorite reels of all time. I still have one mint and one BNIB that I will keep in my display case! The NRXs are certainly nice but, depending on you intended applications, you might also consider an X7 (or other) from Megabass. I have the X7 Extreme Mission that would pair nicely with the...

Re: Fuji Hook Keepers
BTW, don't know if you have added this one to your arsenal yet but it's a really nice jig and t-rig rod (crazy good with 1/2 oz jigs). A little too soft to winch fish out of the thick stuff, but great around docks, wood and lighter grass. And a hell of a deal. http://en.megabassstore.jp/fs/megabass...

Re: if you could have only 2 rod+reels. which would it be?
Very difficult question......for now I would go with:
MB F5-76 Nautilus - Core100mg7
Shimano Cumulus 610mh - Core 50mg7
Two extremely versatile and sensitive rods.
Honorable mention:
Loomis NRX 843mbr
MB F6-72x4 Destruction
