Re: t3 dilema
I agree while that DEAL lasts- nobody would pay more for a used reel . Thats not what we are talking about. What I am saying- is that when the DEAL is over - it is bizarre to me that people collectively then reduce the value of a reel down to clearance prices. Im not saying a used T3 is worth $400 -...

Re: Roboworm EZ Shad or Huddleston Weedless Shad
Clear lake- go huddleston- but make sure it matches the forage
FWIW- I agree with last post- its not really a swimbait that will attract lunkers

Re: t3 dilema
There is no dilemna - The T3 is being cleared away at a price that is far-below its true market value. It is heads and shoulders above the T3B I find it odd also that people use Clearance prices they discover as the setting point for fair market value- thats insane- By definition clearance pri...

Re: Need a reel worthy of Arms rod
Great Aquisition!!! Gotta agree with a monoblock for it. You bought the best rod- so dont cheap out on the reel!!! - IMHO Topaz for the new arms darker tinted wood handle matches nicely as RET pointed out. For the lighter maple handle I think Topaz doesnt match as nicely The Topaz is one Ive been on...

Re: The Search For One : Guess Who's Back Building Rods?
Well, we can agree to disagree. I dont think its a valid argument based on my experience. I have only broken a rod(s) (3 to be exact) fighting fish/or at hookset - never casting. I also swimbait - hucking much larger/heavy lures than what is the norm using other trchniques- of note ive never broken ...

Re: The Search For One : Guess Who's Back Building Rods?
Cal, thank you for your statement of why you believe a spiral-wrapped rod will last longer. I have no question about anything but your next-to-last sentence. From context, I take it that you are saying, "Because the blank is not fighting this force, it will operate more efficiently, not be subject ...

Re: The Search For One : Guess Who's Back Building Rods?
TT Reviews are like op-ed pieces - filled with a mixture of science and subjective experience. As a physician scientist, I regularly encounter questions that we just dont have an exact answer for- because its never been studied directly. And even if it WAS studied does not imply the evidence is fix...

Re: The Search For One : Guess Who's Back Building Rods?
Cal, you guys almost always show a high degree of independent scrutiny of manufacturers' claims and of myths, which made it surprising that you didn't on the one point in the otherwise great review to which I took exception. Or so I thought, and still must think, since you are not responding with a...
