Re: Small paddle tail rod… 76 preferred
I'm assuming those are spinning rods? If so that's a pretty strong list. If you want a softer action and if you'll be using braid + leader, I would say the Fitzgerald All Purpose 7'6" medium should be on your radar as well. The ALX McSmalls is also one I have considered for these same techs Wasn’t ...

Re: Need Help Deciding- Daiwa Tatula SV 70 OR Daiwa Tatula 80
The tat 80 is pretty loud. Will switching out the bearings help? Try oiling the spool bearings first. Bantam oil will work. Should quiet it down. nah that didn't work. made it slightly quieter but nothing like the '24 tw 100 which is an amazing reel New update: After adding a tiny drop of oil on bo...

Re: Arkansas Capybara
Dat be a dang beeg rodent... world's largest. 8-) The family literally asked that I don't post the location of where the Capybara was spotted for fear that a Gert-beat redneck might shoot it. There are some amazing people in the deep South but there are also some bad ones. That's a truth all around...
Re: PE Spools
Yep you are correct and I should know better since I own two of them...lol. It is a Mag Z spool specifically designed to handle braid.

Re: PE Spools
Some spools like the 2019 Morethan PE SV, are "regular" capacity flat bottom and incredible for braid...and not only in the factory reel. It rocks in an OG Zillion and TDZ as well.
Inductor thickness/length, spring stiffness rates, also affect the casting.

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?
Well, if you guys want made in Japan rods with great value, you got to take a look at Olympic and Yamaga Blank. It is too bad both of these companies don't really give a damn about Bass fishing. :-({|= Dobyns for me as well... And yes, so sad that Yamaga Blanks doesn't give a crap about bass fishin...

Re: All new steez sv tw
Looks like a super comfy reel to palm, but the 32mm spools are a deal breaker. I have no interest of ever using a steez reel, and not being able to use my slp1010, rcs1060, zpi spools and so on. Having to use a wrench to adjust the cast control cap is beyond stupidity. And yes, i know, you don't ne...

Re: Salt free trailers
Hello TT, I have some custom swimjigs built with Owner deep throat style high carbon content hooks...these things are ridiculously sharp and hook and hold better than just about anything else I have ever used. This said, every season I strip off the plastics and have to clean off the rust on the ho...
