Just to avoid any possible confusion. The spool tension can be adjusted on the Steez. I was considering the same thing ,but after holding both reels there was no doubt i was getting the steez model,it just felt that much more refined .

Just got one of these. Seems awesome and cannot wait to use it. Was a little bothered by the fact that the tension knob does not click like the old steez.
