I've been using my DX745C (SH) a lot recently as well. I go as low as 1/4oz+plastic, and as high as about 3/4oz plus plastic (double-wide beaver). It's a perfect rod for pitching this range, and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat for your desired applications.

I have the 7'1" MH Omen Black. It's a VERY versatile rod for what you want to do. I think you're better off with the MH instead of the M power for bussbaits, spinnerbaits, and any plastics in weeds. But for something a bit different and to me, even MORE comfortable, the Evolve hair-trigger on the 13 Fishing "Omen Black" rods is stellar. I have large hands and this seat feels unbelievably comfortable even after 8 solid hours with the same rod in my hand!

ALso, if I were interested in saving a few more bucks, what's the general concensus on the 13 Fishing Omen Black rods? The 7'1" MH or the 7'3" MH look nice price-wise and the review on tackletour was "Great" (8.33/10).

Also, what are your opinions on the Crucial or Compre line?
