Re: Reel handle

There is no major difference other than length. I'd use the 92mm as it would be the most versatile. i don't know what you are using the reel for. I find that 80mm is short...and 100mm is long.

Re: Shimano/Daiwa affected by earthquake?

I talked to a Daiwa guy about that last weekend. He said no one was hurt and the Daiwa factory was OK. They did close it down for a couple of days.

Re: Micro Guides

I think they'll move into higher end rods as things progress. A Daiwa guy admitted that they were looking at either micros or Recoils for the Steez line. Micros are purely a US thing right now, so it is hard to get the major Japanese OEMs to consider them.

Those will be fine. I use an Alphas 103 for TX rigging with a 1/4oz weight + the plastic. Sometimes the plastic is a 5" senko...

Re: Pixy vs Sol

I have an Airy Red Pixzilla, a fairly stock Sol (Alphas handle and drag upgrade) and a heavily modded Sol (ZPI handle, Alphas ito AI spool, drag upgrade). The Pixzilla is awesome...even better than the heavily modded Sol. The to advantages the Sol has over a Pixy is the drag and line capacity. The s...

Re: Fluorocarbon

More and more pros are using fluorocarbon for reaction baits like spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits. Whenever I check tournament results it's the dominant line used. However, when you look at responses from various forums, including TT, a lot of people, if not more, use a copo...

Re: I'm pretty sure Fluorocarbon is BS...

...heres why ( ASIDE FROM SENSITIVITY ) which you can get from a good co-polymer line. Why are you discounting sensitivity as a criterion for choosing a fishing line? If anything, sensitivity should be one of the top criteria. For me, sensitivity is the primary reason for using lines made entirely ...
