Re: Fulfill Your Destiny With Shimano's 2015 Metanium DC
Almost exactly what I expected. I'm 99% sure mine came with a reel cover. I wonder if he just misplaced his or it wasn't included for some reason. I recently fully respooled mine with 30lb slick 8 (had a 3/4 spool of 50lb before). I am curious to see if cast distance will improve significantly up to...

This review has been a long time coming. I guess I should read it now.

Re: Is Maxima Ultragreen Really the Best by Test?
It sounds like their Lb Test rating is based on the break strength including knot. It seems like that should be commended, not a point of contention. One of the big problems with something like Gliss is that it is reportedly nearly impossible to get close to its rated break strength because you can'...

The score at the top of the article doesn't match the score at the bottom.
Total Score: 8.12 - GREAT
Probably forgot to edit it after copying the article template.

Re: Rapping in the Shadows with Rapala
I have had mixed results with it, but it is still one of my favorite baits to fish because it is just fun to work back. You feel like you are going to catch a fish every cast, even if you don't.

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
Good review, but did you accidentally leave out a chunk of the casting section? Just says you tied on a light weight bait- no mention of how it did, casting, other baits, distances, compared to other reels/alphas, etc. I wondered the same thing, especially when the review scored the braking system ...

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
I didn't even realize the level wind moved when pulling line till I read this. I've been enjoying casting damn near everything with this I guess I never paid attention. I think the review came so fast before they get bogged down with Icast, and this little gem couldn't wait. If the lineguide doesn'...

Re: The Next TWS Variant : Daiwa's Tatula HD
I would think the 100mm handle kind of mitigates the need for a 5.x speed gear ratio. 6.x with a 100mm handle should feel as powerful and similar in speed to a 5.x with a 90mm handle. A 5.x with a 100mm handle would essentially be a winch... which I guess could be useful for huge cranks and 5+ oz s...

Re: How Low Can Daiwa Go? The Refreshed AIRD Baitcaster
Pretty sure the entire reel is composite/graphite/plastic. I would have thought that also but in the review it says aluminum and high grade plastic. I read that too, but I honestly think it was a mistake. From Daiwa's website: "Brand new re-designed lightweight composite frame and side plate&q...

Re: How Low Can Daiwa Go? The Refreshed AIRD Baitcaster
***copied Post from a different thread since this thread didn't exist at the time*** I wonder if Daiwa will re-introduce the Lexa using an Aluminum Aird body style? If they do and actually put a MagZ spool in it I think it would sell quite well. The Aird is a very nice reel, just all composite and h...

Re: Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z?
I sick that Daiwa has gone this route with the Zillion, they should have just retired it. What would be the difference? It is just a name. Just think of them like this: Tatula (Tatula) Tatula Pro/Tournament (Tatula Type-R) Tatula Tour (Zillion TWS) Tatula Tour Type-R (Zillion TWS Type-R that will p...
