Re: Retaining bearings with Loctite 641 self trial

Does the Z bushing material used in 13Fishing reels eliminate all the excess movement and uneven loading? I am fishing my half a dozen Concept Z baitcasters for the fourth+ year, and they are still smooth as when they were new. I did add a drop of bearing oil to each bushing when I first got the ree...

Re: Alphabrake - New Kind of Braking?

We exhibited at the biggest Swedish sportfishing fair this weekend and made a video of the trials. Sorry for not being able to translate all of the words, but the facial expressions should be enough. https://youtu.be/B6MBoZn9zhk I hope you can make this a profitable deal for you and your family.

Did the shallow spool version ever get released? I can barely find these for sale anywhere. Think it would reliably cast down to 4 gram Ned rigs?

Re: Shimano BFS oil

I'm not saying that you are wrong but I have never read (or don't remember reading) this about TSI321. What I remember is everybody saying that they soak their bearings in the TSI321 and then spin them dry. I never assumed or remember reading that they are using diluted TSI321. Like I said in an ea...

Re: Do you trust aluminum gears?

Winching on big fish can do it, too. I had a big catfish and a big carp both pull so hard that they made my reel feel rough afterwards. Each time, once I replaced the aluminum main gear the reel was smooth again. I eventually got a brass replacement main gear, and no more problems. I've only snagged...

Re: Alphabrake - New Kind of Braking?

We're back! After some challenging times where the inventor of the cast brake fell using his rollator, we paused development of Svivlo Genesis ONE and developed and started selling https://rolloguard.com based on the same Alphabrake. Since then the inventor and also my father sadly passed away in 2...

Re: When's the last time....

Just two days ago and it hasn’t happened for me for quite some time. I took my SLX dc XT 70 out for a test run along with my alphas SV TW. It was a little bit windy 5-10mph but I had no problem with SLX casting into wind. I have 15lb braid and casting 5 gram free rig. I test a few cast and lower th...

Re: A source for 4x7x2.5mm bearings?

Ted, could you add a link to BOCA? The one I have doesn't work. Mark, I'm not sure if you wanted a link to Boca or Smooth drag, so I gave you both. https://www.smoothdrag.com/wp/ https://www.bocabearings.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAic6eBhCoARIsANlox844llIaXMxKrBhgEWR_8LGEg7ImTRXO1M2wPovmvP80nH_jp5SGyoEaAuqR...

Re: A source for 4x7x2.5mm bearings?

I'm the OP and didn't order them from avidrc as the metal bearings don't appear to have removable shields. They look to be the same as the gritty ones I bought from ebay and presumably the same from some manufacturer in China. I could have sworn my original bulk order of bearings in 4x7x2.5mm had r...

Lol...Universal Blessings in disguise my friend. Yeah, except when I float tube. I can barely look over the water line. Sounds like you need to add a booster to your tube? There are advantages, I'm about 5'10" and my younger brother is 4'11"...if we were to have met Dolly in her prime, I'm sure his...
