What is the difference between flipping and pitching?
I've done some research and honestly can't tell much of a difference. Anybody care to share their $.02?

Obviously at the max setting I'm not going to get as much distance on the other hand I've tried using lighter lures and used the lower setting hoping to get a little more...

how to effectively use brake settings
I'm still pretty new to the baitcasting world and was wondering how to effectively use the brake settings on the reel. Are there guidelines of some sort as far as highest - lowest setting in conjunction with lure weight? Say I'm throwing a 1oz jig, would I set it at 1 or crank it up to 10? Heavier l...

rod recommendations, please
I'm looking to get a new rod in the 7' range that would be good for topwater baits up to 1oz and mid-deep running crankbaits under the $200 mark if possible. Is there a rod that would work well for both,if so what do you recommend?

Re: HawgTech & Abu
Oh wow, that picture is actually on their website. What did you think of them when you had them? Any noticeable differences? Good quality? Worth it?

Daiwa Steez Compile-X Cast 7'1" Hvy
Just wondering what other applications this rod would be suitable for. Would it be good for larger topwater baits or maybe swimbaits? Thanks!

Megabass no longer JDM?
Taken from today's (9/10/13) Frog Installment "but Megabass, as a former JDM company whose baits were available in the North America through a licensed distributor..." So Megabass is no longer a JDM product and is no longer available through a North American distributor? Am I missing something here ...

Re: A couple Megabass lures...
I'm just glad I could finally get a response. That is what's throwing me off. It's like they threw in that one picture like "oh here we have a slit in the belly. You can use it, but we don't. Now continue rigging like this". WTF! The bait I got in black orochi and it's the Giant Dog-X. Though I have...
