Replace the inductor base.

If you’re comfortable with taking the inductor side apart, it’s pretty simple. If not, we charge $18 with return shipping to do it for you

Broken inductor base. I’ve swapped a bunch of them. If you look at the spool from the bearing side, you should see two white “clips” stick through. Chances are you won’t, and that’s the issue. When those break, the entire inductor, base and all, spins on the spool.

You can not turn a non SV spool into a SV spool. Too many differences.

What spool is it? I’m unaware of a reel that takes that size bearing for a spool. Avail Aldebaran BFS XG 1615r (new shallow spool) If Im not mistaken, that should be a 3x7x3 bearing. I see where HH Studio shows a 740ZZ, but I feel certainly that is a typo. If it is indeed a 3x7x3, we have the HH Ai...

Sounds like 2 spacers are missing. 1 sits on top of the roller clutch inner tube, one sits on top of the handle support bearing.

Sounds like some grit or something has made its way down into the inductor side of the spool. Pull the spool, spray it down good with some CRC Electrical component cleaner and blow it out. Then apply one drop of oil to each inductor ramp/block, and one drop on the spool shaft where the inductor ride...

With a ZPI Handle, and 4 bearings, and RCS knobs mine comes in at 6.33 ounces. With the bushings it would probably be lighter. If you’re adventurous enough, you could port the stock spool to remove more weight, and increase spool performance.

Any of the TD Zillion spools, HLC, PE Special, Etc and the TDZ 100M spool.

SV103 Knob fits as well
