Re: Shimano Jackal poison Ultima - Anyone got one
I have the 72H and 70M. The 72H I use only for jigs/plastics, the 70M I use for shallow cranks. They are truly exceptional rods... what I have come to find, I love all the different brands (MB, EG, Jackal Poisons, especially the unknown Luxxe Oltre) for different reasons, they each bring different s...

Re: Best combo for 1/4oz jigs
The X7 Super Eiger is the front runner at the moment however, the Super Mirage has got my attention. I have 3 NRX, 3 Evergreen, 2 Megabass and 1 St Croix rods so I'm tempted to try another brand. I think I'm ready ;) What about the Luxxe Oltre or the Poison Ultima ranges ? It is nice to know that I...

Re: 7 Seas Pro Shop
7seasproshop is legit, i have purchased several hard to source items from them and never had a single issue. By the way, proshop Otsuka also has a decent inventory of PG rods... Thanks for the tip. I will check them out when I get home. BTW, I can't thank you enough for the BFS Long Distance! I lov...

Poison Ultima 72H and/or the Gamakatsu Luxxe Oltre 7H.bassm1n wrote:Try a Luxxe Oltre B70H. It has a titanium tip and meets your needs. Another would be the Poison Ultima 72H.
Above is exactly what I suggested in another post to him but he wasnt quite ready to jump in this side of the JDM pool.

Re: What Megabass / Evergreen rods do you have and what do y
For bottom contact, have you considered outside of EG or the c40 rods? Couple rods to consider for this are... Poison Ultima 72H and/or the Gamakatsu Luxxe Oltre 7H. The Luxxe rod is the priciest of all and harder to come by, but you wont find a finer rod, I even believe it edges out the Ultima at c...

Re: White Python users
I have the older straight handle WP2 and the new Evo WP. Right now I use them both for 175 size glidebaits... the Evo WP actually feels more stout at this than the original, it also feels considerably more crisp. I would like to add another evo wp, for heavy pitching/flipping, that's actually the or...

Re: exsence dc vs metanium xg
Unsure about the saltwater use, so with that aside, the Met would be perfect for the range you are considering it for.
As always, you could get both and problem solved lol.

Re: Evergreen Egoist as a Senko stick?
Yep, it is perfect for what you're looking to use it for... I originally purchased it for heavier work due to its H rating but I believe the power is not a true Heavy. So I started fishing wacky rigged Damiki stingers on it and that is where it excells, in that lighter range. Fast action, strong bac...

Re: Shimano Poison Ultima
It's been a while. I still don't have the rod yet, I bought a Destroyer Evolution and a few tuna rods/reels instead. I am however looking at the 170M Ultima for jerkbaits. It should work pretty well right? I read it's designed for cranking. Thanks Yes, it will work very well for jerkbaits, if the l...

Re: Arms Challenge World Edition *pic added*
Only complaint about the rod is, when the handle gets really wet it becomes super slick but I knew that going into it. That would get annoying for me. Was going to order one, having 2nd thoughts... You would be suprised how unimportant it actually is. you'll realize that the only part of your hand ...
