Re: Where are the PFLUEGERS???????
They are unbelievably popular where I live, especially the President spinning reels. People just wont shut up about them to the point where I stop listening and smile and nod. I had a president in the 10 size and it was a wonderful reel for the price honestly. I gave it to my friends son as a presen...

Turns out there was a problem with my spool inductor that I fixed. My bad... Anyways I will give the line another shot next time I go out.

I think you misspelled "1965 327 Stingray"...aussiebasser wrote:You are comparing a classic beauty with a modern tart. A 1973 Big Block Corvette Convertible against a Z06.

I love the ECS reel seat.
Only thing better is a glossy painted ECS reel seat.

Re: Terrible Mono Experience
The line, unless damaged is fine...sometimes if the spool is "overfilled" by just 10yds, mono has a tendency to jump off the spool, especially with certain reels..is this a potential problem on the reel you're using....I've noticed my Calais reels are sentsitive to this. I also think it was the lin...

Re: Terrible Mono Experience
I totally agree, the brittleness and whatnot.
According to the spool I got it was made in 2012 so it isn't all that old honestly.
I'm going to buy a different brand and give mono one more shot but right now it looks like superlines are going to stay my go to line.

Terrible Mono Experience
EDIT: Turns out my spool inductor fell off the plastic piece that the holds it in place. I fixed and will give the line another shot. To start I want to say that I almost always use braid. The line was Berkly XL Armor coated in 12lb. I know it isn't the best line but my store had it on sale so I fig...

Good to know, I have only seen them in the two piece variety. A customer was trying to find a one piece the other day and I couldn't find one in our store for him.bassdawg wrote:They come 2 or 1 piece , I got the 1 piece

Re: Shimano Stella or Stradic ci4
Here is the deal, if you want a Stella and will still be able to feed the family if you buy one, why not? Personally I would take and Stradic FJ and a new NRX for about the same amount of dough but that is just me. Yeah, the Stella is brilliant, and pretty much perfect but to be honest. At some poin...

Re: Daiwa Sol Troubles
Does it matter? The levelwind doesn't sync when you cast, you'll be out of sync anyway you look at it. It's more about drag to my understanding. If you reel in say 15 feet of line before your lure gets bit you will have approximately 15 feet of perfectly aligned line if the fish makes a run and mor...

Re: When Z is not enough: BIG bait reels
The tranx is around 20oz. An interesting reel, I'd shoot for a trinidad instead. Saying that, a F10 super red demon combined with a toro 50 or even 60 could make one versatile big rig. 1/2-8oz...run it on a hollow PE top shot and you'd have you flipping, frogging, swimbaiting and inshore do it all ...

Re: G.Loomis travel rod rebuild
That looks great! Really a ton of work too.
I'm not a rod builder or anything but I can see the amount of time and effort you put into that anyways.
