Re: jerkbait rod under $150
I had the 6'7 Omen. The tip was far from what I would consider soft. Still a touch to fast for jerks for my taste.

Re: Expride Anyone?
Seems odd to me that if transportation is the reason for a two piece rod you would choose one that disconnects above the reel seat. The handle section is maybe 16" long, so on a seven foot rod you're still packing around five and a half feet of blank Still don't get the construction being built for...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods
OMG! You responded to a lot more than the original post. If dealers have been sitting on these orders for months why in the world would I get it any sooner? You started with the snide remarks and you have to have the last word so have at it. I'm out

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods
It's obvious someone is intent on getting they're point across, rather than paying attention. A few short posts ago I stated that I contacted on line dealers who's web site stated they had these in stock. After calling, they did not. I have now contacted 5 dealers who stated they had these in stock,...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods
Okay. 1st, why pay retail when it is available for less. 2nd, please refer to above posts. The folks that order direct from Daiwa ARE NOT getting shipments. Doesn't matter. Carry on

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods
I shared emails with TackleDirect, as well as a store on Ebay. Both had this rod in stock, and both told me it was a split grip. So, either there are two models which is unlikely, or the full grip was just on the prototype.

Can you order from your local shop on line? How much did you pay for the rod?

Re: Basszone Carbon Handle?
Daiwa knobs will fit Basszone handle. I have a few set up including a Fuego and Zillion. My only advice for the TDZ (and Fuego) is, if you want to keep the original drag knob, get a handle collar that sits on top of drag knob. Without the collar, the handle sits too deep you won't have room to loos...

Re: Expride Anyone?
Did anyone handle the moderate fast rods? Is this a true mod fast, more of a moderate, more of a fast, or that happy place I like to live between moderate fast and fast?

Re: Crainkbait/Topwater Rod Poll
Honestly, if you want a stellar rod that will handle all those techniques and fishes above its price point, look at the 6'10 MH mod fast Fenwick elite tech small mouth rod. The blank is honestly the most diverse I have found, and it has a good guide train. The handle can be a bit tricky though.
