Re: 23 Airity coming soon

Received my 23 Airty 2000S-P from digitaka the other day. Put a megabass hypercork knob on it. Paired it up with a P5 babyplugging. The color matches up nicely. Will try it out with small soft plastics. Too be honest, doesn't feel much different from the 21 Luvius airity. It is lighter in weight tho...

Re: Zodias vs. Expride B

If you have an Expride already, you'll probably be disappointed with the Zodias. Zodias is cheaper but also slightly heavier, not as sensitive and not as crisp in the hands. Every time i tried a Zodias rod, I always ended up getting rid of it. Just stick with the Expride or move up to the Poison adr...

Re: UL Topwater Fishing

I enjoy throwing tiny poppers on 4 lbs line in the summer time. Small walking baits and prop baits are also a pleasure on light line.
Bass and panfish love them. Have also caught the occasional channel cat underneath trees and brushes.
Looking forward to this spring and summer.

Re: Skeet Reese goes to Kast King?

Not sure about you guys, but Skeet could probably out fish me any day with his Kastking gear. My high dollar daiwas and shimanos wouldn't stand a chance.
It's the fishermen not necessarily the gear.

Re: New Cheaper Spinning Reels

Dont forget about the Vanquish. Its a truly awesome ultralight reel. I picked up a 2000s size and immediately ordered another one. I want to try the 1000 size, but it only comes in a super shallow spool. I feel like i might not have enough line. I tried the Vanford 500 and was disappointed. Not smoo...

Re: Daiwa BLX

I think the main issue these rods never took off is the lack of models. Both spinning and casting models are very limited, at least here in the US. That been said, I only have the SG 6'10 light spinning rod. Its been a good rod. Very crisp and sensitive. If Daiwa had more models, i probably wouldn't...

Re: Do You Use Spinning Reels?

I've been mainly using spinning gear this year.
My home lake is highly pressured and full of spotted bass.
Smaller lures and light line seems to be the ticket to catching numbers and fooling the occasional larger keeper.
Plus light line and lighter gear is more fun.

Re: JDM Stella/Vanquish etc Service

I picked up a Vanquish C2000S and liked it so much i picked up another one. I use them more than my 18 Stella 1000 and both my 22 Stellas'
It just feels more sensitive to me. I swear i can feel more with this reel than my other reels.

Re: In search for a light popper and small crank rod

Expride 6'10" med. It is a pretty good topwater rod. I thrown both poppers and walking baits on it. It has enough flex it would make a decent shorter cranking rod. Both the new B model and old A model seem to have the same action. The new model is slightly lighter in weight and has a hook keeper, bu...

Re: Metanium shallow edition

I have had one for about two months or so. Its pretty much a regular metanium with a slightly more shallow spool. I haven't really compared it too much between the shallow version and the regular one. I do feel the shallow version does cast lighter lures slightly better but I haven't tried throwing ...
