Re: Line Conditioner for Braid?
Owner-C'ultiva / Ardent also offer a line conditioner that is available domestically, called Line Butter. I wonder if it's the same formula as the Cultiva spray available in Japan.

Re: A Good Braid for Spinning Reels...
Well I got my hands on a 20# spool of JBraid 8x GRAND. Line feels very soft compared to Sufix Perf. and 832, and even softer than the PP Super Slick. I haven't spooled it yet, but when I do and take it out for a run, I'll post my findings here.

Re: Nanobraid, Gliss opinions
Aside from the weak abrasion resistance, do these hybrids produce wind-knots?

Re: Daiwa J Braid x8 Grand
I should be getting a spool of 20# Grand in the coming days. I'll post my experience in the coming weeks.
BTW- Anyone compare this to Samurai Braid, another pricey braid with lovers and haters.

Cleaning Saltwater Reels
I've heard about wiping down the exterior of reels used in SW with WD40, but am concerned it'll break down the oils. Will ReelX (CorrosionX), be a better choice?

Re: Best braid for spinning reels?
PP Super Slick gave me a few wind knots in the higher pound ranges (30-65#). Sufix 832 has been consistent, but I'm still looking for something better. I just bought a 20# spool of the new Daiwa J Braid x8 Grand. Hope to try it out in about 2 weeks. I was tempted to buy the Samurai braid but then re...

Re: A Good Braid for Spinning Reels...
I’m going to have to take a closer look at the Nanobraid and Nanofil as I’m not familiar with either. I’m also curious about the new Daiwa JBraid 8x GRAND. Supposedly it’s not a dyneema based line, but a brand new material.

Re: Braided Samurai vs Power Pro SS8 vs Sufix 832
Interesting info. I've heard great things about Samurai, and wonder how it compares to their new J-Braid x8 GRAND. I suppose it's thin diameter is one of their strong suits, but when you realize it breaks a lot lower than other lines, I wonder if the hefty price tag is worth it. In the end I still w...

Those of you using the Mudhole balancer, I'm assuming you're using the removable one rather than the permanent model?

Well I went with the Avid X, as the Legend's price scared me off a bit. I still haven't ruled out the Legends but decided on baby steps first.

Help comparing a few rods...
Ok I’m in the market for a new 7 foot spinning rod that I will use primarily for inshore fishing. Historically I’ve used bass rod‘s rather than the traditional inshore action which tends to be a little bit more on the moderate side. That said I’ve been looking at a few rods but do not have anything ...
