Re: Is the Search Over? St. Croix's New Legend Elite EC70MF

So in one picture, it shows the rod as an ES70MF. Is that the spinning model? Also, in another picture, you can barely see the 6-12 rating. Was the casting or spinning rod reviewed or were both or was it a custom? Sorry for any confusion but I am looking into the 7' casting model and wanted to be s...

Re: The Search for One: The 13 Fishing Archangel

Hi, checking the specs and you list line wt. at 8-16, and the lure wt. 3/16 - 5/8. These specs match the spinning rod specs. TW lists the 7'2" MH at 12-20 line wt. and 3/8 - 1oz. lure wt. Will the 7-2 MH throw a 3/16 bait easily? Just a bit confused. I have the MH. I don't think it would cast ...

If it has the same light tip as the NRX 852c, there may be an NRX 852c for sale.

Re: Is the Search Over? St. Croix's New Legend Elite EC70MF

The blanks have been out for a while. I built a BFS rod using the 7ft Lite. I also built a light punching rod with the 7'6" MH Mod Fast. A lot of power in that rod with enough tip to not rip the fishes mouth and keep them pinned. The blanks are super nice. I like the green color in the sun. Loo...

Re: Daiwa Re-Images Their Stalwart : Zillion TWS

I put my whole hand over the reel. All of my fingers are in front of the trigger for the most part. Depends on the rod.

Re: Daiwa Re-Images Their Stalwart : Zillion TWS

I wish it had the flip hood like the T3. It would have a lower profile and you can instantly engage the spool. The cool factor is a plus too.

Re: Cal's review of the TWS Zillion confirmed what we feared

I feel the review was a bit skewed. He kept comparing it to the TDZ. Yeah, they do share the zillion name but they are completely different reels. I think it would have got a better score if it was called something else.

Re: Go Light or Go Home: The Okuma Helios HS-CM-701M

I fished with the exact model reviewed bt TT. It is light and very sensitive. It can handle weights a tad lower than the 1/4 oz its rated for. I feel the rod isn't as forgiving on the other side of the spectrum. 5/8 oz is really pushing the rod. I use 3/16 oz jigs and weightless plastics and its fin...
