Re: MajorCraft Speedstyle 610+MH?
I’m no familiar witht the PTS reel seat. Looking at it, it looks just like am ECS seat or am I missing something? It's different - wider, not as comfortable for smallish hands. Just my opinion of course ^What Mark said^. I sold the Speedstyle rod I had specifically because of the reel seat. I like ...

Re: Hooks-Sealed line tie
Seal the hook yourself. Either tie a knot with thin line, then drag the knot to the crack and cut it loose, then re-tie, or use a dab of epoxy. I have done both. I like Trokar hooks, but the gap at the hook eye is pretty noticeable on the larger hooks, like the Big Nasty worm hooks. Those get a quic...

Re: Let's talk UL crankbaits ...
I've noticed this, as well. I just got a custom UL Immortal casting rod built back in the spring and have an SS Air on it. Since it is specifically for UL crankbaits, I swapped the 6.3 gears from my SS SV 103H into it. Then as I started looking around, I realized that there's a lot less to choose fr...

Re: 2008 Daiwa TD Fuego 1000A - Adding grease?
Thanks! Much appreciated. By Q-tip, do you mean through that window? That's an awfully small window to take grease out but will tri. Love to have more comments. Thanks! UL I mean to turn the handle and let the swab ride on the main gear as thoroughly as you can. A good trick is to remove some of th...

Re: 2008 Daiwa TD Fuego 1000A - Adding grease?
If you don't want to disassemble the reel completely, then use a q-tip to remove all the old grease you can. Then add the new grease there at the 'window'. Yes, the blue Daiwa grease is compatible.

Re: Alphas SV or Chronarch MGL
I have thrown 14-21 gram lures with the Alphas SV with no problem. I actually just bought another one after I sold mine earlier this yr.

Well done! That got a loud laugh from me and a sideways look from my wife, all at the same time. Then she laughed too when I showed it to her.smalliesteve wrote:Megabass BJ Deep Throat Custom. I'm sure they were referring to the fish swallowing the bait...

New Tatula 100 CC Cap Question
For anyone who owns this reel already, I have a question: what other reel has a cc cap (or spool tension knob) that is compatible? I'm assuming it shares compatibility with the Steez SV TW, since both are "zero adjuster", but I would like confirmation.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Re: Look what I found on Aliexpress
So what is it? A Daiwano? If it is Daiwa producing stuff like this (and the new C-series) they have become like hard liquor. The expensive kind is fun and nice, but the cheap stuff induces vomiting... No, they just stole the Magforce Z and digigear to slap on this thing. It isn't likely that they a...

Re: What have you lost while fishing?
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.   But seriously, we hit a wake once back when I was around 12 yrs old and my dad lost ME out of the boat. We were going around 60 mph, so I skipped across the water like a stone. So, I didn't grow up around boats, so maybe this i...
