Re: bfs-ish rod?

The phenix k2 713ml seems like ti would fit the bill. Ive got one that im currently selling because im moving to shorter rods, but its incredibly sensitive and crisp. There are also quire a few JDM rods that fit your needs-the poison glorious series has a few rods that might work for you

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Got the reel in the mail today. First impression is this is the finest reel Daiwa has made. I didn't think a reel could get smoother than a Steez SV TW, but it is. I'm going to put it on a 842 GLX and can't wait to try it out. got mine on Saturday. My thoughts exactly, and after using it its just b...

Re: Steez Air vs Steez CT w/shallow spool

I was pretty blown away at how smooth my 6.3:1 steez ct is, can anyone comment on how smooth the steez air is relative to the steez ct? I have 2 Steez CT and both of them are so soo smooth. The Air is smooth but not as “airy” smooth as my CT. The Air feels more like Steez SV. I honestly have no clu...

Re: Fishing Line Diameter

This is great info. Maybe we should get a thread going where we post actual, measured line diameters.

Methods question: how do you measure braid diameter accurately?

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I would love to own a CT SV but I fish a ball head jig in 1/4 ounce with a 4in easy shiner and I dont see the CT SV casting farther than my current Steez A and SV TW Don't knock it til you you've tried it. It's the finest casting, smoothest reel I've ever tried, and I have owned a Steez A and curre...

I gotta be honest, I like the weird colors. I love those special edition megabass reels with funky colors and wish more manufacturers would do it

Honestly I think the steez ltd is one of the all-time great reels. Super versatile, light, smooth, and looks good (though thats subjective).

Re: G Loomis vs JDM

For bass rods I would say JDM all the way, though thats based on some personal preference (I prefer shorter rods with a more moderate taper). I know less with trout rods but like the comment above me said, you really cant go wrong with glx. I have heard great things about those tenryu rods though
