I just tried out my PX type R and NRX 852 combo yesterday and it's friggin awesome! Haven't enjoyed a combo that much in a long time. Totally amazing little reel, so long egg beater!

I have the Stealth charger too with 3 group 31 optima blue tops. Seems to work great, I've never been low on trolling battery power.

This is only an opinion of an amateur but in my experience no. For the same or less money, I'm a lot happier with a Core MgFV, Core 50 Mg7 or Steez. I have Calais 100As on a CBR847 and a CBR855 GLX. I think they're great crankbait reels and would lean toward them over a Core for cranking. I use them for square bills and up to a DT-10 or Lucky Craft Flat DR. For the deeper divers I use a Calcutta TE DC 250. You might even consider one of those if...
