Re: Looking for first megabass rod please help
Way too broad of spectrum you are trying to cover with one rod. It can be done... but I don’t reccomend trying this AT ALL. My advice? If you really want a Megabass Rod - then figure out what technique you enjoy most and tailor the Megabass rod of your choice to that technique. A frog Rod is SOOOOO...

Re: Cold water/ cold front -fall / winter JERKBAIT
The third one up on the left really threw me for a loop when I looked at it in the picture. I was like "what the hell is that purple and super blue?" It does a bizzare job of picking up light and colors around it.
Here is another pic from a different angle in a different light.

Re: Cold water/ cold front -fall / winter JERKBAIT
What color is the lure in the right column third one down? It looks like it has a streak of gold going down the side. It's black on the bottom, going up to the side, where it transitions into kind of a bronze color over a honeycomb pattern. Then black on the top...with a shocker rsz_1bronze.jpg A S...

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
Zenaq says they are Made in Japan. I was aware they are made in Japan. They have a very tight distribution network and none of them will ship that brand in particular to the US. (or I could not find any). It makes me think they have a patent or trademark issue. Actually, I think it's just a distrib...

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
He does, but I think alot of people have that misconception. I know I was a bit let down when I recieved by 1st $400 MB rod-made in China, hopeing for redemtion I ordered a $500 MB rod, China, further redemption a $600 MB rod China. It's litterally a sticker shock, and I'm not talking about price. ...

rsz_img_1903.jpg Steez LTD on a Luxxe Oltre 67M w/ 8lb Tatsu using the smaller MB variants this past weekend. Bluebird sky and crystal clear 54 degree water called for stealth mode. That IxI type R on the far right is a stellar bait with the clear/chartruse 110jr (3rd up from bottom right) holding ...

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
I was always under the impression that the jdm fenwicks were made in japan. When my KTF super techna showed up with the made in china sticker on it i was little disappointed. But, once you handle it and see the build quality you quickly forget, lol. Same with my X7's, always thought they were jdm a...

A DC Metanium programed to throw BFS style lures. Add on SV style spool and a titanium nitride coated T-Wing style line guide. Might as well throw in some MAGSEAL bearings for the salt/dust guys. Aluminum housing and frame, micro moduled brass gears and a swept carbon 90mm handle. Clicking drag and ...

Re: New Dobyn's Series
Still one of the ugliest brands. They need to hire a graphic designer. I don’t know. I think their logo looks pretty good on the trunk lid :D I’ve always joked that their rod graphics looked like they were drawn up on a napkin on a poker night break. Roll the Xtasy’s logo side away from you and it’...

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
[quote\] Fenwick Japan has a much bigger lineup. Killer blanks compared to what we get[/quote] Been thinking about pulling the trigger on a Techno GP for some time now. I realize they are an older rod, origionally fetching $600, now can be had for a mid $200 price. One of the few JDM brands that has...

Re: Jackall Nazzy Choice as a good cranking rod?
I agree, it's a snazzy rod. Targets Catfish by design, but who cares. Makes you want to light one up and daze on a bank until a whisker biscut comes along and snags your turkey neck.
