My god that coiling in the picture is ugly as hell. I would definitely appreciate something limper.

I need something with more neutral buoyancy.

The most manageable and limpest fluoro-coated copoly

The title says it all. Any suggestion?

Does the wire bending method effectively prevent your spinner from twisting the line?

I'm talking about this. http://www.rofb.net/faq/faq_inline_spinner.htm To me it looks like it's gonna twist even more violently by having its center of mass offset... I thought it'd only work under very slow retrieve with little or no current. Has anyone tried this method and come out with a good re...

Re: Fuji Small Diameter KR Concept Guides

I've ordered spinning rods with KR Concept guides manufactured by 3 different companies --- Quantum, Kistler, and St. Croix. There KR micro guide rods all came standard with 4.5 size running guides (the smallest guides going toward the tip. In addition, they all had size 4.5 tip tops. Since that ti...

Re: Why doesn't Daiwa face the TWS grooving issue?(with pics)

Wow so the rumor of TWS being fundamentaly flawed was true. This is actually much worse than I'd imagined and the only solution so far is this. → http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=60200&hilit=TWS+Solved Is this issue only found with Tatulas? I knew the T3 has a similar issue but that...

Re: Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

To get back on topic I have no earthly idea if an inductor facing upwards brakes less than one positioned horizontal or downwards. A rapidly spinning disk fitted to a stick can be more easily moved than the same disk and stick when the disk in not spinning as if the rotation of the disk is turning ...

Re: Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

I'll have to give rotating the reel at the end of a cast a try. It appeares so bizarre I had always assume that behavior was the result of improper casting technique. Perhaps it'll have some merits. You don't rotate the reel mid-cast; you cast with the reel facing sideway all the way through and th...

Re: Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

I hope that makes sense. Outstanding post! Very interesting indeed. I'm not a physicist or an engineer and have no access to the tools one would need to measure gravitational force on the magnet...I doubt this gets solved. But still cool-thanks for posting it. Not too bad a debut on the forum eh? T...

Re: Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

1) How does a your hand transition from the rod grip to palming the reel? What is the left hand grasping to support the rod/reel combo to allow the right hand to let go of the rod grip and transition into palming the reel. This is what I don't understand about left hand retrieve with right hand cas...

Re: Daiwa Steez SV vs. SS SV vs. Zillion SV TWS

Steez SV TW is on its way 2017 so hold your horsies and start saving! Performance-wise, it's the flagship model that has all the latest technology Daiwa has developed so it's supposed to be better than all other Daiwa reels unless paired against some specialty variants that excel at one specific are...

Re: Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

I've attached the missing picture. How do you right handed people using left reels even cast? It makes no sense to me. How do you move your hand up from the rod grip into plaming the reel? I'm imaging throwing the rod into the air and catch it palming it at the same time or something. This can't be ...

Re: Stradic FK 2500 and 3000 drag tension knob size?

AFAIK the only difference between #2500 and #3000 spool is the spool depth(line capacity). They should share the exact same knob, washers, etc.

Daiwa's Magforce brake impeded by the earth's gravity?

It sounds bonkers but I've heard it from somewhere else and I think it's worth giving a though. As most of you know, Daiwa's Magforce brake system is controlled by precise spring action. Centrifugal force created by the spool rotation pushes the magnetic inductor against the spring and towards the m...
