Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

Good idea. =D> Is that product similar the the wrap they use on tennis rackets? It is very similar and I have used Tennis Racquet overgrip on the cork of my fly rods before, which works well. The only drawback to Tennis Racquet overgrip is that they are precut to fit a tennis racquet handles, which...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

How do you guys like the NRX greens? You know, my first few NRX's were the Blue's, but then I got a deal on a Green, and I really liked it as well (it is no where near as "bright" of a green that they show in the pictures). What I ended up doing was get alternating colors with how they sit in my ro...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

Would i get 75% off if i traded in a circa 2001 st croix premier that has never seen use? Not sure how this works...that's a helluva steal if so I guess i could just call and ask..... I would think so (as the last trade-in, I sent in rods that were over 20 years old), but like you said, I would cal...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

Be sure to read the fine print on this Trade-In. luckycraftman, can you provide the link to the fine print? i've been looking all over THUT's site and can't find the provisions you've mentioned. thanks. Well, most of the "fine print" was from my conversations with the one guy at The Hook Up Tackle....

Re: NRX Inshore Rod Question.

This is what he said: The 923MR will have a little bit lighter tip for the first few inches than the 883S MR but will also be a touch stiffer than the 883 at the butt end. Simply due to the added length. The handle on the 923 is a little longer as well. The overall handle length on the 923 is 16 5/...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

So if I were to trade in a almost mint glx 894 for a nrx 894 what do u guys think I would pay outta pocket? Seen this deal never done it If you are trading in one rod (your GLX 894 JWR), you would received 75% of $460.00 (i.e., $345.00). If you have them send you a shipping label (which I recommend...

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle

Be sure to read the fine print on this Trade-In. First, you only receive 75% of retail credit if you are only trading one rod towards a NRX. If you are trading in multiple rods towards a NRX, then you only receive 60% of retail credit. Second, there is a specific list of rods they will take (the lis...

Bantam,

Is there a difference in action and power between the NRX 883S MR & NRX 923S MR?

Well, The Hook Up Tackle just introduced another NRX trade-in promotion. I guess I'll be getting a few more!

Re: New G.Loomis E6X Rods

I double checked with JVD and he said he is using a 2 power inshore model. The specs are in to the engineers at Loomis and it sound like it might happen. I'm just not sure when it will be. I have been waiting to hear this news for a long time! Thanks Bantam (and JVD). I have fished with the E6X rod...

Re: New G.Loomis E6X Rods

they already have released an 803s jwr nxr spinning rod.... from day one. Sorry, I should clarify. I am looking for a 3 power JWR spinning rod 7'1" or longer (a 7'6" would be ideal). I want it for deep Great Lake duties, so those shorter rods just aren't as efficient in long casts and taking up lin...

Re: New G.Loomis E6X Rods

Bantam, I have to admit, you guys have done a good job building anticipation for these and even better job in designing these. They look really good and even though I am a NRX Junkie, these have peaked my interest and I have a feeling there will be a few of these in my collection. And speaking of NR...
