Re: What's in your reel collection?

I'll have to update my post for 2022 tonight. I picked up a few reels and handles this winter including a Airity, Zillion HD, Conquest 200 HG, and a couple of Livre handles.

Anybody know how long it takes for jdmtackleheaven to process an order?

I placed the order Tuesday night and haven’t heard anything back.

I sent a couple emails with no response.
They're a little slower than some of the other Japanese shops. I wouldn't worry about getting your reel though.

Re: 21 Luvias Airity vs 18 Exist

If you’re not stuck on size and are putting it on the Flyssa, I’d highly recommend getting a 4000 size reel. The larger spool diameter will help with casting distance. It will also have a smoother drag since there’s more surface area to contact on the drag washers.

Re: 2022 exist first impression

If you’re interested in a 22 Exist to begin with I don’t see any of these comments as a limiting factor in purchasing a reel with Executive Service. If the debate is cost/value all of this still held true for the previous generation reels. My 22 Exist is spectacular on the water. As far as I’m conc...

Re: 2022 exist first impression

salute! much appreciated for the sharing. Luvias Airity is nowhere to be found these days... so far Vanquish is my favorite for Crappie and walleye fishing. I purchased one from Amazon Japan last month. It's a 2018 Exist based on my comparison with the same model Exist. It's like Daiwa had extra pa...

Re: EVERGREEN KALEIDO wild wolf 7

If you mean the Dire Wolf 7, then yes. I picked one up this winter. I haven't been able to fish it because our lakes are frozen, but it feels parabolic in bend with a really strong backbone. I plan on using it for bladed jigs.

Re: Daiwa Exist 22

I think I need to try that out myself then. I only have spinning reels at the Ci4+/Vanford price point and at the Stella level. There's a definitive difference in quality there. Maybe something inbetween will feel like a significant-enough upgrade(?) I think your MO is spot on - Stradic/Vanfords fo...

Re: Help choosing mid to high end, compact reel

Die hard steelheader here as well! I have everything from 5 different versions of the Tatula to a Shimano Bantam mgl. Although I most commonly use 1/4 to 1/2 oz for float fishing I prefer any reel with an aluminum body. The new Zillion SV is my current favorite and comes from the factory with drag ...

Re: Daiwa Exist 22

With how good Twin Powers and Exsense reels are, I don't see the reason for spending the money for Stellas or Exists. Even with house good the Stradics and Vanguards have been over the past couple years, the gains you get for the higher price are much smaller now. I sort of took this route. I was p...

Re: What's it gonna be? 22 Stella or 22 Exist

I'm a little disappointed that there's no USDM 4000 XH model. I like the larger spool for line management and the high speed for most applications.

NRX 823s SYR

Could someone explain this blank’s taper? Does it have a soft tip that goes into a stiff backbone or is the tip like an 852?

Re: Higher-end Tatula 200 Replacement

Back to the subject at hand, is a Tatula 300 considered higher end??? I would assume there are round reels that would fit the requirements. The Lexa has 9 bearings, not sure where, it is a full spool shaft with no dual pinion support, right? I wouldn't say the Tat. 300 is high end it feels industri...

I have one and have used it for spring creek trout. It's a good all around light finesse rod.
