Re: What are your best lures for spotted bass?

Really hard to pick something specific, because that aggressive specie bites everything what swims. I caught spotted bass on every lure I own, except big swimbaits. Hardbaits - Megabass Vision OneTen, color - any silver with flash (replicates blueback herring) Soft plastic - Zoom Trick worm, speedw...

Re: Kuying Teton arrival, unpacking, first impressions ...

I have two of those exact rods, the tip section broke on the first one (obvious defect), it’s replacement and rod #2 have been great. I have a Pixy Type R on one and an Alphas Type R on the other. It’s a blast to use catching the dink Bass we have so many of around here.

Also look at the last edition of the Daiwa Coastal, it has a 200 size spool and there may be some bargains out there with the new Daiwa Coastal SV out now.

Translation?

I got two spools of this stuff with a couple of reels I bought recently. I can’t find anything in English to explain what it is. It’s very slick, white colored line.

Can anyone translate it for me?

Sunline TX1 braid

Has any one here tried Sunline TX1 braid? I’ve got 2 spools of 7# yellow braid. Planning to use it for wacky rigged worms, but I’m seeing some lousy reviews on TW.

Re: Does anyone recognize this micro soft plastic?

The cuts in the side made me think it was a Lake Fork plastic too.

Thanks!

When they say “right” they mean thread direction? Not right hand?

Both

RH reel has RH thread handle nut

LH reel has LH thread handle nut

Re: TD-Z spools

I have a Steez 100h spool in a TDZ 103 and it's very nice but the R+ spool in my other TDZ 103 is my favorite caster. Yep, I love my TDZ with the Steez 103 R+ spool, too. The type R spool gives better distance than the stock TDZ spool, but the R+ spool is even better. I picked up a Type R+ spool fo...

TD-Z spools

What would I gain by putting a TD-Z Type R spool in a regular TD-Z reel?

Re: BlueSky Boatworks 360 Angler Review

Brad, you can probably answer this. Other than seating position, what would make this Blue Sky rig better than a Bass Buster boat with a trolling motor? I see people raving about their Blue Sky boat, but nearly all intend to add the electric motor when available.

Found a TT review through the TW site. The review site became a go to, then discovered the forums.

Re: Favorite finesse jig trailers

Strike King 3X ElazTech Denny Brauer Bitsy Chunk. Never really cared for the ElazTech stuff, except for jig trailers. Last forever and highly buoyant. Does the Elaztech plastic react with jig skirts like it does other plastic baits? I've never had it react with standard silicone skirt material. I'v...

Re: Inshore Baitcaster for under $100??

The Blue Tatula Coastal can be found on eBay for just over $100. I think it’s built on the original Tatula frame, with CRBB bearings and a deep spool. It’s a nice reel, expect for those huge foam knobs.

Re: Used SS SV or Tatula SV TW

The Tatula isn’t loved by the enthusiast, I get it. But it’s hard to find a better reel for a beginner. I set up a Tat CT on a cheap med action rod with 12# mono for my niece. She loves to fish, but was intimidated by baitcasters. I set it up where it was hard to backlash, pretty choked down but sti...
