I'm sure spinning gear is the only type of reel intended for spybaiting...why else would this exist? i use a baitcaster setup, and its perfect. is73uc ito with honeycomb spool + eiger northwall + sufix 5lb fluoro + line conditioner = awesome. I'd hazard a guess and say that conceivably the only way a spinning setup would cast farther is if i ran out of line on my spool. I've come close to doing it ...
