looks absolutely awesome!
Re: crazy
gunther, i see where youre coming from, however when it all comes down to it, its about choices and personal preference. everyone is different, and everyone has their own motivations for using what tackle they choose to purchase. people have varied income levels and financial obligations and everyon...

Re: in a quandary now
If it were me, I would throw the IS on the Western Flip and the T3 Air on the Eiger. The IS Western Flip should make a great pitching rod even if you have to take out the honeycomb spool. I would just be uneasy using the T3 air for anything but finesse espeically because I feel like I read that you...

in a quandary now
well, i kind of screwed myself, but in a good way. right now i have the ultimate dropshotting combo (imho) in the ito is73 uc (with mb honeycomb spool) paired with an eiger northwall. i recently had the opportunity to pick up a t3air for a crazy low price, and now i have no clue what to do with it. ...

Re: X7 JIG ROD ?
i have the western flip and its awesome for jigs and stuff up to 1/2. its rated up to 3/4 but i havent tested it that high yet. but after i used the western flip,i decided to look for a jig rod that is the next step up in power from the western flip, and decided on the x7 xtreme mission. it'll easil...

Re: spybait line recommendations
I'm sure spinning gear is the only type of reel intended for spybaiting...why else would this exist? Note the 24" IPT for slow retrieves...a proper spybait presentation. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwapixyspr.html The only way to get equivalent IPTs on spinning gear is to go with JDM Daiwa 10...

Re: spybait line recommendations
i use a baitcaster setup, and its perfect. is73uc ito with honeycomb spool + eiger northwall + sufix 5lb fluoro + line conditioner = awesome. I'd hazard a guess and say that conceivably the only way a spinning setup would cast farther is if i ran out of line on my spool. I've come close to doing it ...
