ive been using braid to leader for drop shot on my t3 air spool, and have done it on my megabass is73 honeycomb spool as well for the past 2 years and havent had any issues.

sucks to hear. i have the same rod and after my initial trepidation due to the now legendary tt stinger tip hedgehog review and getting used to the tip flexing madly, i now fish it like any other of my rods. still handle it with tlc but fish it hard, tachyon hooksets and all.

i have the simoom and it is definitely very capable of what you need. a whole different level of everything when you fish with it.

neoprene takes a bit to get used to with the feel of the material. i have the strykr, the model up, and its a bit on the heavy side. keeps you dry through anything though.

ive had success using the keitech model 3. can rig it weedless and it shines with a fat swing impact of 3.8 or higher.

x4 on the v12 bags. unfortunately mine blew the zipper almost right away but it was great. finally gave up the ghost a couple of years ago and ive been looking ever since for a decent replacement. i have about 15 or so of the falcon boxes and they are great.
