Re: Conquest 905

I’ve fished one, but I wasn’t flipping with it. I was throwing a chatter bait on it and you can feel what ever the chatter bait is bouncing off of. The rod is pretty sensitive that I didn’t miss any bites that day, could be one of those days where my swings were on point.

That’s a beautiful combo you have there. Have you broken it in yet?

Re: Dobyns Champion Extreme HP 703C

I have this rod. And personally it’s one of my favorite rods I’ve ever fished. I feel like I have more control of the fish vs my cousins im8 rod and gloomis imx. Also, it’s not a very light rod, but it’s light and very sensitive.

Re: Post purple

Daiwa killed it with the new tatulas, I rarely even look at my Shimano metaniums

Re: frog reel

I use a tatula tw sv, powerpro 50lbs. The reel is fast enough to pick up slack and stopping the fish from diving deep enough into the pads.

Re: Any differences between vintage Rat-L-Traps and newer ones?

I feel like they’re all the same, I’ve caught fish on both in the same little highly pressured pond.

Re: Which is your favorite rod company?

Hello! New here to the forum!

I voted for Dobyns but also fish Gloomis. Both are great company in my eyes.
