Yes, Boca bearings are noisy, and yes their spool pin pliers lack precision. They should CNC machine their product! Nevertheless, a careful and steady hand will alleviate damaging the spool and pin. A chewed up spool pin is going to damage the pinion whenever the two contact. Look at the pinion now ...

Yes, the white pad is present and correctly installed.
Does the TDZ frame come from factory with a small groove already made to allow room for the spring to rotate? Because I can see a groove in the inside edge of the frame itself, as if that spring has worn into the metal frame.
