Re: Swimbait Fishing and Economics...???
This is how I look at it. I've been fishing for long time and as as much as I don't want to admit it, fishing is starting to get boring. After catching so many fish, its not about catching fish anymore. Its about how you catch them. I only use a few techniques now. I would say 70% of the time I'm th...

Re: Squadminniw vs Pointer 100
I assume you mean the Jackall Squad Minnow? I've used them both before. For this comparison, I'll use the Jackall Squad Minnow 115 vs LC Pointer 100. Both are really good jerkbaits. The LC Pointer is a very well designed lure. The first time I used the LC Pointer, I was blown away by the action of i...

Re: Fishermen Negligence
I see this problem every where I fish too. Bait containers, mostly night crawler containers. Then there are tons of opened lure packaging, candy and snack wrappers, fishing line etc. Worst piece of trash I ever saw was baby’s dirty diaper. Did I mention dead fish? Lots of dead rotting and smelly car...

I generally use snaps on all of my hardbaits since it makes it faster to switch lures.

LC Fat CB BDS vs. LC RC
I really like the Lucky Craft Fat CB BDS baits. Bass Pro Shops have the Lucky Craft Rick Clunn crankbaits for sale. Are the BDS and RC essentially the same bait, or are they different? If different, how much do the RC baits differ from the BDS baits in terms of wiggling action? The BDS are supposed ...

Re: favorite braid
I have been using Power Pro for a few years. I decided to try Suffix 832 for this year. I immediately noticed an increase in casting distance. Suffix 832 is so smooth that it is very quiet on the guides. Sometimes I forget I am using braid. I will probably never use Power Pro ever again.

Re: Gunfish or Sammy???
I like the gunfish better, but to cover all your bases (small, medium, and large), I would get:
Gunfish 95
Gunfish 115
Sammy 128
But if the sammy 128 is too big, then I suppose just go with a sammy 100 (medium), and the gunfish 115 will serve as your larger walk-the-dog lure.

Are bigger jerkbaits sluggish?
It seems to me that some bigger jerkbait versions seem to be sluggish. They do not slash, or have that erratic darting motion that is similar to smaller versions of said lure. For example, let’s take a LC pointer 100. I can make the LC pointer 100 flash and dart erratically with ease. Upon trying to...
