Re: Reel "Feet"
Well I ordered a Shimano SLX MGL 70 and it doesn't sit any further up the rod. The back foot is really short... I'll keep it, its a nice reel. Looking for more suggestions for exact models that sit up the rod further for sure. Just going by pics, it looks like the KastKing Speed Demon Elite may hav...

Hedgehog maybe? They have a pretty wide selection of spinning handles.

The Elseil models might be what you're looking for. Haven't tried any of the newer ones but the X4 I had worked great for these.

Re: Reel "Feet"
This is subjective of course but to me, it feels like Shimanos generally sit further up the seat and Daiwas and Lew's and Abus sit further back. I have never actually measured to find out for sure but that's how they feel in my hands when I test out different reels on the same rods.

Re: Vibration analysis between '20 Met and '21 Zillion
Very cool stuff =D> When I read the title of the post the first thing I thought about was aluminum vs. magnesium frames and its interesting to see the data shows magnesium can actually/potentially transmit more vibration. I guess it can argued that the gears themselves may be giving off more or less...

Re: New lures in your box 2021
Deps Slide Swimmer 115. Been able to play around with it a bit and it is a fun little swim bait. Got a few bites on it so far and each time a fish hit it they have freight trained it. I recently purchased one of these for the first time, as well as the Tiny Bullshooter 100. Stoked to give them a wh...

Re: Which knob style do you generally prefer on a spinning reel?
My recommendation would be to get the reel with the specs you need/are looking for then swap out the knobs later if you don't like them? That's what I have done with all of my most recent spinning reels purchased. I find the smaller knobs on both Shimano and Daiwa to be too "skinny" and the shape of...

Re: top water rod for 1 oz +/- baits
A more wallet friendly option to maybe consider is the Dobyns Sierra 735 C. It is labeled as extra fast but is definitely a more moderate actioned rod with some bend to it. I have used it for 1oz hardbaits like the MB Kanata and Dorum and it casts and works those baits well in my opinion and don't h...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers
Sorry if I missed any info already posted, how do the reel seats feel (especially the trigger) compared to the XX and USA Destroyers? Do these have the soft touch coating on them? Thanks in advance!

Re: Drop Shot Tip
Do you guys not have issues with the pinch snapping the line? It doesn't seem to matter what brand of weight I'm using, but the little pinch will snip the line with a slight tug in grass...what's the secret? If I understand the issue you're describing correctly, what I usually do is tie a little ov...
