Re: Gen 3 STX revo?

Flipping, Pitching and Frogging I am not afraid of the speed of the 8.0.1, you learn to adjust and it is nice to have the speed if you need it.

Re: Gen 3 Revo stx vs gen 2 revo premier and gen 3

I tried the Gen 3 Stx and loved the size, weight, looks and the casting distance with the dual braking. The problem I had with it, and hopefully it was just mine, was, when I set the drag a little on the tight side and tested it by pulling the line out it was real jerky. Then, at first I didnt notic...

Daiwa Zillion 7'6" Flipping Rod

I have a 6'9" MH/XF daiwa zillion rod I use for texas rigs and find it to be so sensitive. I'm using 14# XPS fluoro. I was thinking of getting the 7'6" H/F for a 10"/12" worm/carolina/flipping/pitching rod. Can I expect the same sensitivity? Can it be the fluoro I'm using? Thanks Guys P.S Does anyon...

Re: Just got my STEEZ100HLA and it feels weird..

When I first got my Steez 100SHA it felt a little odd coming from Zillions which I thought was really smooth. But, now, after time, it feels buttery smooth.

Re: What Are Your Thoughts on the Quantum Smoke 100?

I also have a 100 & 150. I havent had them to long to tell longevity. On the 100 I did the break mod as was posted here sometime back where as stock the breaks are 0-3-6-9 and I changed mine to 0-3-4-5. With 14# fluoro I find 4 brakes are good. With braid you can get away with less. The other thing ...

Re: What is the best line for Core 50mg7?

I do have 60# Fx2 on my quantum smoke 150hpt reel with boca O.S. and my frog/flipping/pitching rod (Phenix Recon 795) and it cast like a bullet. You think I could get away with 50# on the core 50mg7? I thought maybe daiwa samurai in 20#? Thanks

Re: What is the best line for Core 50mg7?

Oh, Another thing guys, I put in a set of boca orange seals and after I installed them it almost seemed like the stock core bearing spun better. Should I stay with the stock core bearings or keep the O.S. in? Like I said earlier I would like to throw 1/8oz and up lures. Thanks Guys

What is the best line for Core 50mg7?

I recently purchased a shimano core 50mg7 and I would like some feed back on the easiest line to use. I've tried 10# InvizX fluoro and its a little squirrly. It did pretty good with sufix mono, but, line twist, etc. Now I have 30# PP braid and will try it . I love my fluoro and would like to stay wit...
