Something subjective can never be definitive. It's like trying to establish a general consensus on what is the best headphone on the market, or anything else for that matter. That being said, it's my favorite reel, but far from everyone would agree.

Re: Sensory Rods

Nope, thats a miss for me. That SK2 seat sucks. The trigger is way too thick and short. I could see how they would be better suited for finesse setups, but executed correctly they're super comfortable. With an Alphas or Steez it's easy to wrap all four fingers around the pipe in front of the trigge...

Re: Sensory Rods

I’m no engineer, far from it, and I am naive to how rod blanks are made, but the wrapping pattern of the carbon fiber/graphene or whatever doesn’t look that strong with that spiral wrap. I would think a cross pattern like you see on shimano and megabass would be stronger. Looks cool though. Did you...

Re: Sensory Rods

They could be nice. Better be for $250. I like those reel seats, but the pipe it's built on looks kinda skinny.

Yeah, they're full of crap, too, stepping on all kinds of trademarks. At least Shishamo changed the name a little.

Re: Daiwa HS Bait?

Total knock off. Check out the doyo/banax brake dial.

Course since Daiwa has decided to release reels that likely came from the same place that one did I suppose it's getting harder to know the difference.

Re: Fishing ole classics

All of them. The reel has been in production in some form since it was introduced. There aren't generations or different platforms. There is just the Alphas. It would be akin to saying that to apply to the Curado namesake. I'd dare say that there would be clear definable series allotment of product...

Enough with the tackle, let's see some frogs?!?!
Hey, I caught that frog on bass tackle, so he totally counts! :P

I don't know if he was cannibalistic or just defensive, but he just kind of latched on. I didn't hook it or anything.

Re: Alphas air stream custom

Hi!!! Just read the whole thread from start the finish. New to BFS. I’ve got a Daiwa Wise Stream 4’5” on the way and am currently tossing up between the Daiwa ASC or a Shimano Conquest bfs. I love the ASC (I’m a Daiwa fanboy) but am a bit concerned about line capacity and saltwater intrusion. It’ll...

Re: Steez racing design guys

Do you have enough spool capacity to tie on a leader long enough to reach from the spool to the beds you were fishing? That would give you a good idea of the rod's sensitivity on slack line with fluoro. I've never fished a super trickster, but I would think it would have at least some feel. How does...

Re: Steez racing design guys

Ygk 22lb to 8lb gama flouro with fg knot Ah, well IMHO You should try going straight fluoro. Unless you're swimming baits or actively dragging them across the bottom it's just hard to tell you're getting a bite on braid. Even with a $1000 rod you'll be line watching just because braid doesn't trans...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

There's a lot of big bullfrogs at all the ponds around here. Here's another where it's pretty much frogs or nothing. https://i.postimg.cc/mDcqm3gX/20190531-194037.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/YSDZNDML/20190531-194041-HDR.jpg And this actually happened once: https://i.postimg.cc/PJVCdjjr/WP-20140823-002....
