Re: must have megabass rods?
If you can find it the best rod megabass ever built to me is the original Elseil from 10 plus years ago. Best rod I ever fished.

Re: Calling all diehard topwater junkys
You say your not a good topwater fisherman because you don't want to be. I fish almost exclusively topwater from shore or docks under any conditions almost. Im addicted. I catch some big ones for northern strain. Check out my show and tell pictures. I wish I could have my old account back I was here...

Is there a better choice for me then sunline natural
I been using 12lb Sunline Natural and love how limp and workable the line is however it tends to crimp up after some fishing creating weak points in your line where it can potentially snap and you lose a 20 plus dollar lure. Because of this I find myself respooling often. I fish almost strictly topw...

Calling all diehard topwater junkys
I fish almost strictly topwater and im already gearing up for spring. I have my stick baits of choice and poppers but im looking for a very productive prop bait. Ive tried many but the only guaranteed catcher for me has been the smaller heddon torpedos. Problem is i fish a very heavy fished reservoi...

12lb Sunline Super Natural seems to be the perfect strength. You want the give of mono in your Topwaters trust me, stay away from braid, etc

Megabass Levante rods best enthusiast bet on a budget?
I use to own the original Megabass Elseil and other highly expensive JDM gear. Now a days with 2 kids and a lot of over head I just can't splurge on JDM tackle like i'd love to any more. That being said I am in the market for an Enthusiast/JDM rod but only have 200 dollars to work with roughly. I wa...

200 to spend on one rod.
I use to have a bunch of rods and JDM tackle but at one time had to sell them all. I been away from fishing for a couple years but have been back into it. I have $200.00 I can spend for now on a rod. I cant afford any super high end rods again right now. This will be the only rod I fish with and I a...

Re: OLD member, lost/made new account, JDM Steez/Sammy caught Bass
Yeah we're not as lucky to be able to catch the huge Florida Strain here the Northern are more apt to bite though as their more aggressive. Although we don't have the Florida Strain our Smallies on Lake St. Clair/Lake Erie noted by KVD are legendary. Plus I love catching a good Pike or Musky every n...

I'll keep my Magnesium JDM Steez 103HL but glad to see Daiwa expanding on the Steez.
