I'm a shorter person (5'8") so I like a shorter rod. I use a St Croix 6'8" medium xtra fast. By which ever model suits your budget.

Sunline Sniper is hands down the best line I have found for Cranking. 12lb unless square billing around cover then I go up to 18lb. This stuff is tough too. I have however just spooled up with Trilene XL 12lb flouro to crank cause I got some on sale and have liked what I've got out of it so far. Ver...

Just picked up some Trilene XL Flouro in 12lb at the Basspro Fishing Classic. Very limp and pliable line. Haven't got to fish it a whole lot so the verdict is still out on it's durability and strength.
