Re: Tatula 100 impression??
I wish that thing didn’t have such a big line capacity. That surprised me. Do you know if it switches spools with the Tatula CT and CT-R??? If so I figure the Aliexpress spools would be great in it. Just still hoping the have a Zillion version where I don't buy another Steez A... I have no idea. It...

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF
In a casting build what is the advantage of the k’s? I honestly prefer the looks and ability to “lock” wrap the L. I didn’t know if there was some advantage I was missing.

Re: Shakyhead blank
Yessir. I’m looking for opinions on a spinning shakyhead blank. I should have made that clear in the first post.

Re: Shakyhead blank
Good enough for the girls I go with. I’ll give it a shot first chance I get. What’s your guide layout for this blank?

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF
Are the k style fly guides heavier than the L guides?

I should add I prefer to stay in the traditional 6’10-7’ range.

Shakyhead blank
I’m looking for recommendations for a shakyhead blank and hopefully one made by Point Blank. I want one that is fast-xfast and basically what I’d consider a true medium for spinning. A good light tip but good power for a solid hookset on a long cast. I tend to prefer a slightly more powerful rod in ...

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF
Man I wish they already were! I finished up another rod this evening so now I can get these Point Blanks started. I’ll admit speed isn’t my game on building. Some of you guys can flat spin one out but I’m slooow.

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF
Today I received my replacement blank. It is the correct blank. I can’t wait to get it built! I’ve decided to build the one that was labeled wrong too. Both of them feel phenomenal and sensitive. The actions are perfect. Now if they’ll get a 7’-7’1” heavy extra fast we will really be in business. Ov...

He is going to start traveling the country writing on all our blanks that aren’t fortunate enough to be owned by builders with good penmanship.

Re: SOLID! - The Shimano Bantam MGL Baitcaster
I love the bantam. To date it’s the smoothest reel I’ve owned. The size feels great. If they’d make a 6oz magnesium version (or a mag curado 71) it would likely be the only model of reel I’d need.

Re: Reels for Better Distance for Lighter Baits
I assume by your options weight is a concern but don’t forget about the bantam. If anything it palms better than the met and chronarch and is mgl. Smoothest of the bunch too.

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF
No complaints at all about the communication from Point Blank. Aaron has been plenty hospitable. The new blank should be here in a few days. I look forward to getting it and fishing it especially if it’s anywhere as crisp feeling as the one I received last week. I’ll report back when I get my hands ...
