Re: Skipping with BFS Reels
I can't skip at all if it doesn't have an SV spool. I've heard that not filling the spool all the way up on shimanos helps but I never got around to trying it. my time on the water has been very limited since my son was born. if you do try this, can you chime in with your results/ opinions. would yo...

Re: Help: Power Rating on MajorCraft (travel) Rods L vs. UL

I use the ul on 4lb and the L on 6lb and call it a day. like I said im fairly new so for me its g...

MAJORCRAFT-AMERICA
Hello TT, Went to Bass A Thon ( local annual boat and tackle show) yesterday here in SoCal. MajorCraft had a booth up and are now selling their rods online direct from them. Not sure for how long now, but I was told by them a few months ago that they where working on a site to do so. I checked it ou...

Re: travel casting rod recommendations
I picked up a 2 piece 13 fishing mh. its 7'1" for around $100 at TW, paired with an old citica 100dsv I had laying around. I put this together for the exact same reason. I also went to the Rod Glove website and purchased a rod sock for a 2 piece rod, so far its been working out great.

Re: Abu Garcia Volatile ML casting rod?
be careful with what your asking for, I too started with this fashion. before you know it you'll be buying a bunch of stuff from overseas. check out the import tackle section on here if haven't already. its a decent rod and for the price you cant go wrong with it, about 3/16 was the sweet spot on th...

Re: sustain reel stand options for other reels
Do they fit on most reels? Some of mine i.e. Symetre the handle cap screws into the handle. From what see online they don't have the threaded shaft to screw it in. What reels are using them on?
