Re: best bass of 2018

Only got away for 2 vacations this past summer in June we were lucky enough to get a beautiful 5lb 3oz Largemouth and on my August trip I got one a little longer in size that went 5lbs 14oz! Overall I was happy looking for that 6lb+ fish or twice as many 5's next year! G.Loomis Conquest 905C MBR/Met...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

Punched slop last summer with a Curado 7'7 Heavy used the NRX916UBR before that finally got the rod I've always wanted to get for the technique. GLX954C FPR am I ever glad I did. Very light rod at 7'11 the extra length for working the bait up and down as well as the leverage when punching a little f...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

6'6ML that picture. I ran two of the 6'10M Poison's last summer, one for Vision 100 (10lb Fluoro) the other for Dog-X Speed Slide (15lb Mono). Caught lot's of fish still bent the odd treble on the Jerkbait setup so grabbed this softer 6'6" Medium Light Poison Adrena. It bends similarly to the XX Oro...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

Didn't plan to obtain a Aldebaran MGL this summer but I'm glad I got one now! Love the tweaked paint job and MGL treatment. Spooled up some 8lb Mono for play sake and was casting more than half the spool off 100' casts across the street no problem  I've used Aldebaran for 10lb Fluoro and the th...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Went away on a weeks holiday with a friend earlier last month. Got a new PB for the lake on my favourite rod quality fish all week just not many giants. 5lbs 14oz Long and skinny but what a hard fighting fish. Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy

I'll keep a eye on my 7'4 Poison so far have not seen this on any Poison Adrenas. I'm fishing all week next week will inspect them in the light a little more, my NRX's did this quite bad. They still bend hard just had those bubbles all over them.

Re: It’s 2018, why are you buying reels from the past

When I joined the forum 4 or 5 years ago maybe more I found I was "going back in time" on the Shimano stuff. Seeking out Chronarch 100D7's Chronarch MG's Holding onto Core's after Metanium was released, old Stella's etc. Once I got a Exsence DC and felt a little more speed with a 8.0:1 gear ratio my...

Re: What are You PUNCHING with?

Ran the NRX916 UBR loved it, decided to try the Curado 7'7H F my past trip in June. Caught dozen's of fish it's softer in backbone but kept fish pegged and was just as sensitive. A tick with the NRX felt not much different with the Curado rod. Punching bites are full on pulling rod from hand or a sl...

Re: Bass Opening Week (Pic's/Video)

looks like the water is starting to improve in that area after the longer, cooler winter/springs we've had lately. that area had some serious algae issues for a number of years.... nice photo's man. lots of fun largies! Perhaps seems to be fine from what I've noticed going up twice a year, all I kn...

Re: Bass Opening Week (Pic's/Video)

Nice edit man, The fishing was awesome, I liked the way you cut in different camera angles. There are a couple chestie shots where you can see the line jump! I would save the music for the B roll scenes, driving the boat ext. I think veiwers would like to hear what you have to say and what's going ...
